I was diagnosed with a form of schizophrenia (mild) about 3 months back. Up until recently, I have only heard voices and they were during the night and it didn't occur very often.

My ex-boyfriend (we weren't in a serious relationship at all and i did not love him or anything) died about four months back and recently i have been seeing him. I am sure that he is just a hallucination as he is talking to me about matters that are always on my mind (whether to the front or locked away at the back), but I have not heard of people hallucinating that they are seeing dead people.

I don't believe in ghosts or anything, but is this regular for someone diagnosed with schizophrenia?

I have psychosis but its still mild and I havent had any hallucinations yet that I actually thought were real. I have heard voices but its more like Ill hear a noise and Ill think its some1 talking and Ill check and noones there and Ill get scared.

I have heard of people actually seeing dead people I actually just watched a show about it and this girl saw a ghost that turned out to be a girl that died like 15 years before that. Im pretty sure that if your having hallucinations of your dead boyfriend and hes always saying the same thing thats on your mind then its probably not real.

Its probably not very common with schizophrenia but all kinds of hallucinations can happen so Im pretty sure its probably happened to other people. Im guessing you are going through a time of stress but Im sure its happened to people before.

Thank you. That helped me. I have only ever had mild as well with the same sort of symptoms as you (though slightly more). I don't believe in ghosts or anything so i know it is not that, but i am just worried that this is not a regular hallucination, and i have never heard anyone else mention anything like it before. Thank you Different Hallucinations? xx

Pennkid said it.

All kinds of things can happen inside the brain. Such a weird thing, yet fascinating.

Also, a fellow "dead-see-er" here, I sometimes see my dead cat lounging around here. He doesn't talk to me, I wish he did, but he walks through walls.

That's why I know he's not real. Different Hallucinations?
