I was committed into a mental hospital in August of 2004 with severe paranoid schizophrenia. I was forced to be on Haldol for 3 months and Risperdal for 6 months. The Risperdal stopped the feelings of extreme paranoia. I used to scream at people in the store to stop following me. I also have a seizure disorder. I'm on no medication for either and last year wasn't to good. I have insurance and have decide to do something about it this year. Last year I did lose 60 pounds of the 86 pounds I put on when my thyroid failed three years ago. So something good did happen last year. I use to be on Tegertol and it didn't make me gain weight. Do you think I could use this for both disorders.

I doubt if anyone here is qualified to prescribe medications for you.

You said you were forced to be on Haldol and Risperdal. Could you describe more how you were forced to take those? What effects did they have on you? Do they interfere with your seizure disorder treatment?
