This girl who started a bunch of false rumors about me at my old school, is not bullying me long distance... It's bad... She is ruining my life as much as she can... And now she is coming to my new school... NOT GOOD!!! She is a little ****** and I can't do anything about it!

I'm going crazy. She is SOOOO terrible. She is a little devil girl. She is going to run me over the edge.

Now she is planting bad things about me into the minds of my best friends. They hate me know and think I'm a terrible person. When all she is telling is lies!!!

I'm distraught.....

Bullying is terrible. Try to stay strong. In a few years, you will be in college, and people will be more mature. Do you have a counselor or therapist you can talk to? Are you close to your family? Social support is essential to a fulfilling life. Find it in all ways that you can. You can always talk to us here at psychcentral too.

im sorry you are going through this.. i went through something similar when i was in school. i had this girl who was in alot of my classes and would go out of her way to make fun of me, call me names, embarrass me in front of classmates. and for no reason..i would hate going into classes just because i didnt feel like dealing with whatever she was going to do/say.. luckily i had a few people who would make me feel better by standing up for me. i became depressed and didnt know how to fix it because i didnt DO anything or say anything to her to even make her treat me like that. at the time i didnt have very many friends but the ones i did have were quality friends and just talking to them always made me feel better. she adventually just stopped being mean to me.. not sure why ..maybe she just grew up a little. i would talk to your friends and let them know whats going on..if they are any sort of friends they would trust your word over hers. i would just try to avoid her at all costs if possible.. talk to a counselor at school to see if they can help at all. i dont understand why people have to be like that and im sorry you have to go through that. hope things get better for you.

Since your therapist and family are not helping tell your friends what she did to you and others; reach out because you taking this all in is not good for you.
Thanks for this!

i think the younger generation needs people who can help others in your situation, why isn't there someone you could go to? what about a social worker are there any at your school, you shouldn't have to take the abuse and if it makes you feel any better, alot of us adults were abused as children, and children on children is awful. i was mentally and psychically abused and in your place you are being abused. i say that so you know there is at least someone else in this whole world, and there is alot of us, were in your shoes at one time and you are not alone in your situation.

Hi Girlofmanyfaces, definitely go to a authority at school, someone who will do something about this, perhaps the principle. Bullying is a big deal now and will not be put up with, if they know about it. If she continues after that, go back again and complain until something is done. Come here and talk to us about it.
The people who believe her arn't really your friends, most people see though this kind of behavior. So don't worry, she cant hurt you.
I got bullied a lot in my life. Then I started to take up for myself more, by going to someone and telling.

I'm use to the abuse. But it doesn't make it hurt less. I've been emotionally, physically, and sexually abused. I have nobody to turn to. I have one friend. But she is younger and I don't want her to bare my burdens.

GirlOfManyFaces, bullying is in a lot of schools. I was bullied when I went school. For a year, this one student used to pick on me at recess. Luckily I got a lot of colds and measles and chicken pox, which was a good break.

I know that in some schools it is difficult to stop this type of abuse if they don't have the right policies in place. One girl was bullied via the Internet and her phone(text mags)even after moving from one province to another province that was at least 1,000 miles away. This happened in Canada, and I guess social networking was the way the abuser tracked her down.

I hope you have success in stopping this behaviour by talking to school officials. I don' t think the courts would put a restraining order on this person. But they must have a bullying policy. More than one teenager is dead from bullying.

Take care.
Thanks for this!

I feel for you ... It isn't easy getting it from all different directions, and not having anyone to turn to for help and/or relief makes it all that much more difficult.

I was one of the kids that was getting it at home and at school ... It was very lonely and tough growing up like that, and it still has lingering effects to this day.

You say you have one friend but don't want to burden them. Maybe it won't be a burden and perhaps they'll have ideas and solutions that you haven't thought of yet ... They may even be able to give you the name of a trusted adult you can talk to and might even go along with you for moral support.

Please don't suffer this alone ... It can be quite difficult to overcome later in life ... The sooner you are able to stand up to it, the better.

I definitely feel for you and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I've dealt with bullies like these, time and time again. I invented a little system to keep me calm and in control called "Operation No Bullies"

step 1: Make an attempt to figure out what's going on in the bully's head.
(Send a note asking if you did something, why is she doing this, explain your side, how it makes you feel). It doesn't sound like it in this case, but sometimes someone is joking and they don't know they've hurt your feelings.
NOTE: Whatever the bully says, do NOT cuss, or come off angry and threatening. This can escalate things, or the bully will have something to report to authorities about you.

step 2: Assess the situation. How much damage is being done, and most importantly, are you, or anyone else in harm's way? On a scale of 1-10, how serious do you think the situation is? In the moment, it's hard to tell objectively, so I usually wait a certain amount of time and then assess the situation. It can also become serious if you are ignoring the bully, and the bully is escalating.

Step 3: If the bullying is not serious, it is best to ignore it to the best of your abilities. If it is serious, then it's time to make a plan. I usually try to talk to my therapist, or since your therapist is no help, a school counselor. Maybe a teacher? If there is physical violence involved, report it to someone IMMEDIATELY.

Step 4: Collect the evidence. This sounds like online bullying, and the thing about online bullying is that there is usually a chat forum or something that can be found and printed out. If they leave Voicemails, save them. Take screenshots of any threatening posts on social networks, and save handwritten notes if they are given to you. This is also why step 1 is important. If the bully makes a threat while you are trying to reach out to them (and its in a message form) you now have evidence that this is going on.

Step 5: Report evidence to authority figures. They should be able to take care of it from there. If not, confer to step 5A.

Step 5A: Discourage the bullying. Obviously, your approval is not going to matter much to this bully. But, there are still healthy ways to discourage the bully. Like reminding them that cyberbullying is illegal and punishable by law, if they try to hit you, or strike you, remind them that they could face assault charges. Another thing you can do, is laugh. If you laugh, or say "Thank you!" to their verbal assaults, it tends to confuse bullies, and they don't know what to do next. Or just say something like "If your opinion mattered to me, then your words would be a problem. As it turns out, they don't so it's all good." Sometimes enough resistance will get them to go away.
Note: If she is saying lies, you can threaten a lawsuit for slander. I did that once to get rid of a bully. Bullies do not like authorities stepping in. I don't recommend actually filing a lawsuit unless her lies are going to damage your future.

Step 6: Damage control. Peer mediation with your best friends, and making a plan to see what can be done now is the best move. Sometimes things are so broken you can't fix them, but not always, and it's good to make an effort.

Step 7: Move on. You can't control others' feelings, opinions, and actions, but you can control how you react to it. Nobody deserves to be treated that way, and if you are, it's something wrong with them and not you. Find some hobbies, and build new friendships from there. The bully can't stay in your life forever, no human being has that power.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for this!
