I work and study part time. I went through a break up 2.6 years ago and a death in my family around same time. Ever since I have'nt been the same. I ve been on anti depressants (Zolax SR-0.25- 1mg and Venlift OD 75 mg -150mg) for almost 10 years now. Have stopped taking my meds since recently and haven't been able to cope up with things. everything and everyone annoys me all the time and I feel like crying but can't. have stopped mingling with my office colleagues and also with my other friends. I don't know what to do. at times i feel suicidal. I have my exams in December from 3rd week and I have 10 papers to write.
Please help.

withdrawal from medication will usually make you have the same symptoms that you initially started with, worst thing you can do is to stop abruptly, the best way is to take off very very small amounts of your medication using a pill cutter, even just taking less than a quarter could be dangerous, it is literally just a tiny crumb less per day and you might not get the withdrawal affects.

Plus that you have the stress of exams and probably a fear of failure which could be the root cause of the way you feel, once they are over and done with, you might start to feel relief and a lot better

Same thing what lowinmood said about stopping abruptly! It's also a lot harder to wean yourself off them during a difficult/stressful time. It's recommended you wean when you're at a less stressful place and exams can be realllly stressful! Try to make a plan and just write down/break up tasks you need to do every day, like a half page of essay writing a day. Schedule a time to get it done, or at least how long it will take so you don't overestimate too much. You can do it and things are going to be okay!!

When I had exams, I stuck to a routine, and did everything that I needed to study that day, and it was stressful, but I had a plan which eased of the stress and ended up with 70% - so it paid off.

I agree with nicesprites, wean off when it's a less stressful time so that you don't have the extra burden of withdrawal when you are sitting your exams.

It might be due to excessive stress from work and exams. Why don''t you take a break from work for some time?
