I failed my test to enter university.

Now I don't know what to do.. I feel so bad.. I'm a loser. I've had my chance and I blew it up.

I deserve to be miserable. Now I'm going to wait the results for the other test, but I'm so hopeless..

I am so sorry that what you feared happened! Sometimes our anxiety and depression is based on reality.

It's OK to feel bad. It's OK to await the results of the other test but in the meantime, you must figure out a backup plan. I do not know what is available where you are but sometimes you have to be open to exploring things you haven't previously considered. For instance, in the US, I think there is a shortage of workers for skilled jobs like electrician, plumbing, heating and air conditioning work. For many of these skilled jobs, you don't pass a test, instead you do an apprenticeship. Even if jobs like this are not your dream job, if it is all available to you, you should take it if only to accumulate some money to use towards other goals. Also, when you work at a job, sometimes when you talk to other people you learn about other avenues to make money that you would not otherwise be exposed to. Many, many people have a dream job that they are pursuing (acting comes to mind) that does not bring in enough money so they do whatever is available in the meantime including waiting tables at restaurants.

Again, I am sorry this happened to you. Are you thinking about your backup plan? One of the best ways to feel less misery is to make yourself busy with activities so you are not living in your head as much.......

Thank you, Hoping, for being so wise I guess I can try to do a couple of jobs if everything goes wrong.. but I don't really know what I'd be capable to do. I think I'd even fail at being a waiter, tbh..

Sorry to hear that. Failing is such a blow to self esteem.

For the record I don't think you are a looser. At least you tried. Please give yourself some credit for that.

No, there aren't that many as you may think.. There are mostly two big ones who cover all the subjects. Also, every test I make costs money..

I am so sorry. Yes, this is a blow to your self-esteem, to fail a test, but it doesn't mean you're a loser or that you deserve to be miserable. I know it's easy to start to think that way.... that all is hopeless and lost, but it's not. I have failed in my life many times, but found other ways to succeed. It's a let down for sure, but please don't think that all hope is lost or that you cannot succeed in other ways. Wishing the best for you!!!! ((((((hugs))))))

Was it a test given by the university? I'm not familiar with that.

Nice! Don't let minor hiccups bring you down like that. Embrace them, accept the challenge and try and do better the next time.

Hope you do well in university. Chin up, stay positive, give it your best.
