I’m dealing with restoring my excitement and confidence after an incident that shattered my assumptions. This hasn't been the first, and frankly, I do hope it's the last.
I’ll spare the details. After month of preparation I thought I was ready to re-engage. But no, at my approach to the zone of contact between myself and the activity, I got a terrible case of the JITTERS. So I worked it out: J – just now I – intention vs intention (thus the shakes) T – troubling T – tiresome E – emotional recall R – remove self and no one will get hurt S – Stuttering actions To cope I reversed the spelling S – Small steps R – Re-engage slowly E – Even emotions T – Take my time T – Take good care I – Intention singular J – Just a small step, just a small step. It seems to be working, so far.

Really cool acronym! Maybe I should come up with a few of my own. Thanks for the inspiration!
