I came across a 35 day challenge for practicing the violin and decided to try it with a few other things too.

Here are my goals for this 35 day challenge:
>Brush my teeth two times a day
>Shower everyday
>Eat healthier
>Do my daily bible readings
> Practice both languages every day (I'm learning Italian and Japanese)
>Exercise
>Lose 10 lbs
>Work through my CBT/DBT skills books
>Practice violin everyday for 30 minutes slowly increasing to an hour by the end of the challenge.

Anyone want to join? You don't have to have as many goals as I have, it would be fun to check in here with how we're doing

It's day 8 or 9. Surprised I've made it this far. I want to buy myself something as a reward for completing the challenge when I do, any ideas?

something to help you take the next step? My choice might be a cookbook of healthy (and delicious!) recipes if my goal was to eat better, or a nice cd of relaxing music if my goal was to meditate, nice soap or lotion if my goal was skin care. I love cocoa butter for instance! Or a small plant, or a new pet. Those would be my choices. Thank you for sharing your inspiring journey!

So I ended up not completing the challenge as I got really depressed. I made it about 9 days. I am starting again though beginning tomorrow if anyone wants to join in.

My goals this time are
.Continue being more social
.Play my violin when I can
.keep up with my day treatment program and any clinic appointments
.Brush my teeth thoroughly 2 times a day
.Take a walk once a day if weather permits
.Play my violin when I have time.

Less strict goals this time but probably more manageable.

I cant believe you got thru 8-9 days. I cant string together 2 diet days but i am making oatmeal and salad two regular meals. And i did a chore 3 days in a row. Progress, not perfection. I mfp'd my breakfast, its about 500 calories. Kinda high, but im doing the "breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, dinner like a pauper" thing. So tonight - let me eat cake!

I love this idea because it gives you something positive to focus on. Best wishes to you Blue Bird and thank you for sharing!!! P.s. Making it nine days is awesome!!! There's nothing wrong with starting again, as many times as we need to
Thanks for this!
