i have many disorders ..MDD - Anxiety - DID - PTSD - with BPD traits - diagnosed since 2003 - had mulitiple hospitalizations - was on many different medicines - been through DBT - CBT i was just beginning - My treatment had to end suddenly in January because just could not afford treatment anymore. So now it is July and my symptoms are horrible - so what i do now is lay down when my brain is racing with scrarey thoughts and wait for feelings to pass - i pray and wait - sometimes all day - some days run into each other but its all i can do. I dont know how long i can get by like this without help but so far i am ok. Is this healthy?

Hello Free -- Welcome to Psych Central. I do not have any credentials to tell you what is healthy and what is not. I hope you will be able to find the support you need here and elsewhere.

I can't tell you what is healthy either, but I CAN tell you what I would do if in your situation.... If the symptoms are "horrible", then I would go to my psychiatrist right away. You just don't have to live with symptoms that you can't handle. There are alternatives, for me the alternative is medication for the rest of my life. I am not afraid of that. It helps get my horrible symptoms under control! Take care...

Have you tried natural herbs, free1? Assuming you are not on any meds now...it would be ok to try them. There are calming herbs, like lavender and camomile, that might help some. Talk to a health food store professional and see what they think.

Well, lavender is great in hot tubs is this healthy? Things to calm you.

What about "mindless" or "mindful" music? (Guess it's how you look at it.) They have tones that blend and cause you to quit thinking about all the clutter of daily living.

Talk to the health food store people... they know much more than I do on this. is this healthy?

I know what you mean about trying to pay for all the bills!

I'd suggest looking for community health centers or organizations in your area that provide services at low costs or free of charge. They can help find solutions to the money situation.

I sure wish complete health care was provided to everyone in the states.
