Today I started Jillian Michael's Body Revolution. I had bought it ages ago and did some of it, but never completed. I'd like to finally finish something that I start! For those of you who don't know, it's a 90 day DVD exercise program that is quite challenging!

I am not overweight but would like to tone up and get rid of some extra softness around the tummy area. Exercising has always helped me mentally as well, which is huge. It's a natural anti-depressant, so why not take advantage of it?

Today's workout was for more "front of the body" muscles like chest, shoulders, arms, quads and core. I was definitely sweating after (still am, recently finished it), but I also feel better mentally.

I'll be posting the workouts I do and how they went, to keep track of my progress. Feel free to post what you do for exercise as well, I could use some workout buddies!
Thanks for this!

Day #2: Today's workout focused more on "back of the body" muscles like back, biceps, glutes and hamstrings, but abs and cardio were also a part of it. Got me sweating, but not as much as yesterday's workout. Feels good to start moving again!

The past two days I was very sore from those workouts (darn you Jillian!) so I took a break. Today I'm still feeling sore (in the hamstrings, mostly) but I did a 2 mile DVD walking video on Youtube. It helped to stretch out my hamstrings and get a little sweat going! I'll try to get back to Jillian tomorrow.

If anyone is interested in free walking videos, just look up "Leslie Sansone" on youtube and there are a good amount of 1, 2, and 3 mile walking videos up!

Keep it up, not just for 90 days. Exercise has so many benefits. My exercise regime is on temporary hold because of surgery for skin cancer but I'll resume soon, albeit gingerly. Try and strike a balance . Don't forget diet too. We are what we eat.

Did Workout #1 today: front of the body muscles. I wasn't sweating as much as the first time I did it, but it was still a struggle! Felt good to get it done though.

Did Workout #2 today: back of the body muscles. My legs felt kind of like jelly afterwards and I was sweating quite a bit, but it felt good! Tomorrow will be a cardio day, then a rest day.

The next week will be alternating between workouts 1, 2 and cardio and then the week after I will start workouts 3 & 4, which are supposed to get more challenging. Excited and nervous!

You go! I started a 60 day exercise video program five weeks ago. It has been such a great way to get back in the habit!

I have been struggling the past few days so I've been doing not so well on the exercise front, although I did about 45 minutes worth of walking on Friday. Trying to not be super disappointed in myself but it's difficult!

Just finished a 3 mile walk with Leslie Sansone, got a good sweat going for me! I was in the mood for something more aerobic and I'm glad I chose a walk. It sounds easy but she ramps up the intensity. Here's the link to the workout if anyone is interested:

Thank you Dragon. I appreciate your support. I've been having trouble getting motivated lately, but I just finished a 2 mile walk with Leslie Sansone. Broke a small sweat, but nothing major. Feels good to be moving again though, even if just for 30 minutes.

Just finished a 3 mile walk with Leslie Sansone, that included three 2 minute-long bursts of jogging. Definitely got a good sweat going, and feel good.

Just completed a 2 mile walk with Leslie Sansone, as well as a 10 minute Fitnessblender workout for the lower body. My legs feel like jelly after just 10 minutes! So about 40 minutes total for exercise today.

Today has been a rough day for me, and while I'm still not feeling "normal", the exercise certainly helped to boost my energy and mood a bit.

My legs were so sore for a couple days that I didn't do much exercise. Wowza, what a workout that was. :P

Just finished a 3 mile walk with Leslie Sansone w/ the three 2 minute long cardio boosts. I decided to change from light jogging to high knees and really worked up a sweat! I honestly felt like stopping part way through but managed to hang in there. Feels good to exercise.

Just finished a FitnessBlender workout for the upper body and abs, my arms feel like toast! Guess that's a good thing though. I did not feel motivated to work out AT ALL but pushed myself and glad I did.

Today I did 45 minutes of walking (walking to an appointment and back home).

Later in the day I did a 2 mile walking video and a 15 minute long FitnessBlender pilates workout.

I'd like to join in. I started walking to college recently when the weather is nice. I took the bus today because it was freezing and windy but I try to walk as often as I can. I recently got a fitbit which monitors my steps I take. One fairly active days I can get 10,000 steps pretty easily. I can do more than that though, much more. I need to push myself a bit. Trying to eat healthier too.

Hoping the weather warms up sometime soon, it's ridiculous here in NY. It's almost April and there's still ice on the ground from the huge snowstorm last week.

I am gonna try to go to the gym (ymca) on Saturday and walk on the treadmill and use their biking machines.

I haven't been taking walks just to take walks lately though which I should. I only leave the house when I'm going somewhere. Maybe I'll start to wander around and explore more downtown when it's nice.

I finally got myself an iPod. That is very helpful for working out.

Thanks for posting, and well done on walking 10k steps on your active days, that is awesome! I can't wait until the weather warms up more so I can take walks outside for fun.

Yesterday I did an intense (for me) cardio workout from FitnessBlender. I had to modify quite a few moves and was still a pool of sweat at the end.

Today I walked over an hour total, and actually got over 10k steps according to my phone which is a first. Hooray!

Just finished a quick lower body routine (the video is 24 minutes long but without the warm up and cool down, it was about 15 minutes). Legs feel nice and sore.
Thanks for this!
