I've been harboring a lot of resentment and anger towards a person for not sharing the romantic feelings I have for them. I know it's wrong, how do I stop those feelings?

I think sometimes it hurts when you can't date someone who basically has no problem flirting or worse... might be a rediculously Good one night stand...it's ok to not go near this person and feel angry... I don't know what you would do... just wanted to let you know that we are human and we need to find something positive and avoid parasites that use people for anything that is selfish... I have no idea about your lifestyle...but I find that it helps to get away from someone like that and find my husband...

The problem is that he's the person who's part of my support system and the one I talk to when I'm having problems. He's stopped me from offing myself several times. He does care about me, but not the way I want him to.

Hi C.D.K.
I empathize with how you feel. I think this is a common theme when people become vulnerable with one another. It would make sense that you fall in love and have feelings for someone who has helped you so much, especially when you were at your worst. As an objective perspective, I would say it is not worth trying to romanticize the friendship you have with this person. You hear all kinds of stories about people who try and end up ruining the friendship... You really have to be careful with these kinds of feelings as they can bring out the worst in others. I would suggest you seek out some assistance with a third party to discuss this before making any major decisions. I hope you are doing better, Thanks, HD7970ghz
