Marsha M. Linehan's Book(Manual) "Skills Training Manual for Treating Borderline Personality Disorder" is absolutely excellent. Especially helpful are the worksheets which summarizes her beliefs on DBT Therapy. Superb book. DBT Self Help Site

I agree. I just read it last night. The skills are great and should be posted on telephone poles all around every city. LOL!

I am in a group which is taught by someone who works for her. It's very good.
Best,
Okie

Downup, no you're not DBT Self Help Site the link to the self-help book is in the main index forum description. Dr Clay Tucker-Ladd is a member here who usually answers any questions regarding his free online book content. He is currently taking chemo and is in a tough battle, hopefully to return before long.

Take any subject you wish to read about, and on that linked site (his free online book) type the subject in and it will bring up all the references/links in the book.

dbtselfhelp.com is also very good.

I'd be happy to answer any questions anyone might have about DBT in forum or PM.

Hi, all!

I agree that Marsha M. Linehan's Book(Manual) "Skills Training Manual is very good, not just for Personality Disorders but for many problems. It is a collection of useful skills (something like in my Chapter 13). To her further credit she is collecting data to assess the efficacy of each method.

Try out some these communication skills in your day-to-day live.

Clay

Okiedokie:

I agree that useful information, especially skills, should be offered and posted all over the place. Which book has the information doesn't matter much, just so everyone gains the skills they need. I think schools should be teaching useful psychology to everyone.

A devoted reader of my stuff asked me for hundreds of business cardsabout PSH. I sent them and he is going to post them around in southern England. A thoughtful thing to do.
