I was just sitting here trying to think about other things but the urge to do something was to much. What scared me the most was the fact that I wanted to cut a finger off, I couldn't do it so I cut my inner forearm. sorry.

(((((((((((JayS))))))))))))))))))))

Do you know where the urge came from? Were you thinking of anything else before the urge hit? Sometimes if we examine why we were led to SI, we can figure out the "trigger" so it's easier to manage in future circumstances.

Please make sure you've taken care of the injury, ok?

Jay, I hope you are okay......... On your other thread you said that you hate yourself. Were you punishing yourself with the SI or trying to deal with your feelings?

All I was thinking about was how much I hate myself and my stupid life.
And I had to get stitches, it wouldn't stop bleeding.

I was punishing myself... it's all my fault.

This makes total sense. Do you think that it is because what you know doesn't work anymore and nothing fits and makes sense? I remember this feeling. One step at a time I started to understand what happened to me and started to learn and make changes and made healthy connections to the people and the world around me.
