Ok, so I slipped. The world's not going to come to an end, but I'm upset with myself. How come I can't remember all the distractions I offer up to others when I need them the most?

Hey sweetie, don't beat yourself up. Nobody is perfect. You'll do better the next time. When did you slip up?

Ryan, it's just a slip.......something that occurred when you let your guard down for a minute......you have the rest of the day, so just let it go and do something for yourself...take a long walk..that always helps...pat

Thanks Pat. I'd take that walk if it wasn't snowing.

LOL Hallie. Thanks... I needed that. I'd do it if the snow would stick but it's melting as soon as it hits the ground. (((((Hallie)))))

Ryan, does the weather influence your moods? I know it does mine. I'm a lot more likely to slip if it's cold or foggy or icky outside.

It's ok that you slipped. That's just one time, and tomorrow's a new day. We love you just the same.

Since you can think of distractions when you aren't the one in crisis, how about writing down some of the ones you think you would be most likely to try on an index card, and keeping it someplace accessible for when you need to refer to it?

Sorry you slipped, and feel bad about it. It happens to the best of us, and then we feel disappointed too. (((((((((((hugs))))))))))))) Take Care,
Wendy

Ryan, sometimes our actions get ahead of our thoughts. So our advice we give out is kinda blocked off, you know? It was just a slip up, no biggie. Where's the distractions when I need them? You've got forever and a day to improve... We're all human. (I think! lol) (((ryan)))
