I'm feeling so hopeless. I hate myself and want to give up. I've been 'hiding' from everyone. Acting like everything is ok. I just don't know what to do.

Do you have a therapist or doctor you can talk to about how you're feeling? Maybe a family member or friend? It really does help to share with somebody else...to get those feelings out.

Also, are you on any medication? If so, maybe you should consider a med change.

Please keep us updated on how you're doing.

I remember hating myself for a long while. Can you give us any reasons you have for hating yourself?

I'm on meds and they seem to help. I'm on lamctil and seroquel.
I have trouble expressing myself. I was brought up where you kept feelings to your self. And, you never tell anyone the secrets.

Iit's weird cause I do want to talk and such. But, I'm afraid to. Afraid of rejection. Or people thinking that I'm bad. I'm trying though to open up more. But, its really hard.

I hate myself because of the abuse. Of being told how bad, dirty ect. It stays with you.

Maybe you feel better because you expressed yourself here?

So do you have a therapist?

And hello! fellow Kentuckian!

Howdy neighbor.

I do see a psych dr. for meds. I was seeing a therapist. Have been in therapy for years. And, it does help me. i use different self-help books too.
I'm trying to share more of my feelings, and everything. It's just really hard. And, it's kind of scary for me too. But, I'll keep working at it.

If you were in therapy without sharing your feelings this wasn't really therapy. Have you considered going to therapy again?

I think you've said a lot in your posts. You've told me that you for many reasons feel unable to share what you're feeling or thinking with others.

Also, you care enough about yourself to get help - that's great!

I agree with Sannah. You said yourself that you haven't been able to talk, and unfortunately therapy requires it. Maybe you could consider trying to go again and trying very hard to open up, with easier things at first and then deeper feelings.

You can also try writing a journal, or posting your thoughts here. It's difficult but so important. When feelings stay inside they fester and become icky poison

I'm sorry, I didn't explain myself well. When I was in therapy, I did share. And, worked very hard. With journals and workbooks. I got to a point where my therapist and psychiatrist, agreed to take a break. I had been doing good. Only recently, running into trouble.
I'm considering going back to therapy.

take care.

Thanks, I will. I'm going to see the saime therapy, Jill, as before. She's really nice. And, I feel comfortable with her.

Hope you're having a good day.
