My partner and I had a really important presentation today. We were geting so frustrated and completely intolerate of everything. Okay so mostly I was. I was in a panic and I know it made her just frustrated with me. I know I am not very easy to get along with when I'm in a rush and I also know that the longer it has been since I cut the worse it is for others, and myself. So... obviosly I made my choice...cut. It calmed me down which calmed her down which made everything run smoother. Did I make the wrong choice?

It's hard to say whether you made the right choice or not. You did what you felt needed to be done that moment to calm yourself and get her to calm down as well. I don't know what to say except I really hope you find some sort of peace soon and you can find a different mechanism to cope rather than cut. You're in my thoughts.

Cutting yourself ...obviously is wrong. You already thought that. Why else would you have asked the question?

I am not being judgemental...but am coming from a Logic standpoint. An honest viewpoint leads the way always.

This may be corny...but this made me think of this poem.

I hope you will not be offended by it in any way.

"There is a patch of sunshine
Which I have tucked away;
When days were bright and sunny,
I gathered sunshine rays.

I knew that there'd be rainy days
And days that would be dark,
And so each ray of sunshine
I tucked within my heart.

Now when the dark clouds hover
And gloom appears to reign,
I reach into Heart's Sunshine Patch
And every bright ray claim.

Do you ever have happy moments in your life, icky? Try remembering those happy moments and carry them on with you when you have a bad day or SI thoughts. Remember those happy moments and remember there can be more.
