get a hair brush and brush all of the skin off my ankles. I have not done that in soooo looonnnggg!

It's driving me nuts!

I have thrown out all of the scrub brushes, and bristled hair brushes hoping that will help get rid of this feeling that I NEED to do this!

I LOVE the feel of the burn. Love the tightness of the scabbing and of course picking the scab.

I have been focussing on this a lot. What do you when this feeling becomes constant? How do you get a way from it? It's been so long since have done that, but the urge is so strong right now.

Do you get the urges to do this when you are overwhelmed with your feelings? If so, working on the feelings will help to decrease the urges.

I think one thing may be helpfull for you. and it's soo simple your doing it right now, but be mindful of your breathing. Focus on it. Even for a few seconds it can calm the mind, and bring you back down to reality. It works sometimes. Not all the times. good luck. and keep us posted.

Another day, urge is still there! But, I didn't. Yeah. Bit my nails down to nothing.

Its all stress. Mostly financial. I'm supporting 3 kids with absolutely no help from my ex. He says "I can't afford to give you child support", but he pays cash for a camero! While my car sits at the shop because I don't have the $ to get it fixed. Everything I make goes to feeding kids. I have neglected my student loan. And other things.

Yeah, I'm angry. I'm frustrated. Overwhelmed.

I don't want to go to social services but going to have to. I do work. I have a good job for where I live. It's year around with benefits. But, it is just not enough. I hate the idea of asking for assistance. But, I don't see a choice at this time. At least until he starts paying support.

Thanks. I'm going to try and get some sleep.

I'm glad that you are in counseling. Are you working on these things there? Their dad needs to pay child support. Can you go to the County Attorney to get it enforced (if you are in the USA)?
