I am a cutter normally, but yesterday I started having flashbacks of an incident, My first SU attempt, and I punched my walls, several times and quite hard, and it felt so much better. It helped me release more anger, and the pain last wayyyy longer. But just the same with my cutting, im scared it could also escalate to a point where I could do some serious damage.

I have the best support right now. Some one who's close to me and helps me through these situations but please send some love and words of luck and support , it would be appreciated .

Also I'd like to thank the PC communityfor being there for me for the past year now

Please be careful, Brennan. The best time to kick a habit is before it starts. I am glad things are looking up otherwise- hold on to that positivity and don't let the bad stuff pull you back down to where you were!

I was there once, worried about the self harm become worse.. and the best thing that helped the most is looking into the reason behind the self harm... for you I see anger as a possible cause, what made you so angry that you wanted to hit the wall? (by the way a pillow can do the same thing, just without the damage.)
Thanks for this!

I guess its anger and guilt. Guilt makes me cut, anger makes me punch. It's all self directed though. Im not wanting to punch anyone when I do it, I visualize hurting myself and being punished.
