Well those aren't easy to cover up. My suggestion is use make up but so it blends in. Which can come off if they touch you hard enough where you applyed it. I have come to the realization that i will have them for the rest of my life and Im okay with that. I don't like them but they are a part of me and any doctor will see them one day anyways so I don't hide them.

I've just learned to live with them. My scars say who I am. If people ask questions, I tell them the truth. I have to get blood work done periodically as well, I don't cover them, so the doctor sees them, most of the time they won't say anything, if they do ask I tell the truth.

I have tattoos over a lot of my scars now. Makeup works pretty well unless it is really hot out and the makeup isn’t super waterproof. I have a long scar that extends my whole forearm and I’ve made up some pretty funny stories about it. Most of the time if people ask about my scars I tell them the truth now, I used to be really ashamed of them but not so much anymore.

The ones on my arms are pretty faint, since they were only token SI. Foundation covers them. Apply a good moisturiser first, since the foundation will take better that way. If you don't want them to run in bad weather a mineral foundation works very well, you can apply it over a liquid one to make double sure. I also have some circular scars on my breasts, which I can't cover up, but nobody's looking there anyway.

If the foundation doesn't work I think you'll just have to let your doctor see them.

I'll be 18 in a little over a year, thus able to get a tattoo on my own. I'm still between deciding if I want to get something to cover up my deepest single scar or rather leave it and see if I grow used to it over time. If I do decide to go with the tattoo I want it to be something, preferably black and white, that signifies my personal growth since the scar was created.

There's an excellent product: derma blend. It covers, fills in, and is water proof when you use it's companion powder. (Works on tatoos well too!)

thankx guys.......i tried the makeup trick..bt its not actually working coz i have some very deep wounds.I am not actually ashamed of SI scars, but the problem is my parents. They would never understand,Instead they would just yell and shout at me.And sadly i cant have tattoos,i am not 18 yet.I once wore full sleeve tight dress (i tightened them more at the left hand side),so that the nurse wouldnt be able to take blood from my left hand.it worked that time.but it wont work anymore, she ought to get doubts.

Why would a person get a tattoo just to cover it up?
