me and my friend today at school talked about cutting, she hasn't done it like me but the cuts are still there. she brings a blade from a cheap razor to school in a glue stick thing. i don't know what to do. seeing her with the blade makes me want to find ways to self injure at school, i'm afraid to trigger her or me. also recently i smashed a light bulb for the soul purpose of finding other things to cut with becides a razor. i have been looking in my room for things that i could use to SI. i am really worried, but on the up side, my therapist at school gave me a teen SI workbook and i really like it. on friday my teacher was reminded of my cuts and he said that when he was in middle school he wanted to hurt himself too. i don't know how to handle that. i am getting worried. but at least this semester i get to be in a self image girls group at school

Not sure if your teacher had any right offloading on you like that. As for your friend - either signpost her towards finding help or if your really worried your gunna have to tell someone about her. In the meantime i would just focus on you and continue working with your therapist. Good luck.
Thanks for this!

You are receiving things that, in time, may be given to your friend... If you get triggered, what's your plan for when you are in school?

Looking for other things to SI is very serious, meaning its become an addiction, and will be harder to break that addiction. It is possible, and it can be done. It is harder when you have someone close going through something similar/ if not the same thing. Just because you are going from it from TWO different perspectives. It's hard no matter who you are, or where you are at in life. Best advice, take care of yourself first, and then help your friend.
Thanks for this!

I was on cutting hiatus for more than half a year... and then last month I started again, and it's worse than the first time. Ugh.

Now I'm starting to want to bring stuff to school (not because of your post, don't worry!)... It was an idea I got yesterday, and I'm doing everything I can not to. It's hard.
