I don't know what to do right now. I have this huge urge to cut at my neck, but I know if I did that, I'd die and bleed a horrible death.

I don't want to die right now, I just want to cut at the side of my neck.

My therapist and my care coordinator are both on holiday and are away for a few weeks. Both health centres are in closing hours now anyway, so I can't even ring the duty worker or anything.

Please don't suggest ringing the Samaritans or something, because they are not experienced people, only volunteers, and they don't know how to deal with self harmer's. They're only good at being a cup-of-tea-type-chat to the lonely, just over the phone.

Distractions aren't working. I feel this huge pain inside me.

Maybe you should call 911. Is there anyone else you can tell? Your parents, a friend, a different therapist?

They won't lock you up in the UK just because you feel like self-harming, plus my local mental hospital is apparently really bad.
A guy in my DBT group was in there for a while and he was telling me some really sh***y stories.

I phoned out of hours crisis number/bleep holder, the guy said the bleep holder was busy or something and that he'd get them to ring me back.

The guy admitted he had no pen, but then after some more shuffling around I could hear in the room on the phone, he asked for my number to take, so I gave him my number and I haven't had a call back yet.

It's been 50 minutes.

This will pass. Take a deep breathe. Thoughts don't need to become actions. Can you do any grounding exercises?

They never did ring back, so I phoned the duty worker at my CMHT for them to trace back who it was last night that I spoke to, so I can make a complaint.

I did, just. I just took anti-histamines, as dosed and prescribed by psychiatrist to sleep and went to bed. I felt very tired after having all those emotions.

I just found this thread. I am sorry you are going through this. I hope that you can find someone, anyone to talk to or to help you. I am not the greatest at advice, obviously, LOL! But if you need to vent or talk, I am here to listen if you want. If not that is ok.
Please keep us posted when you are able.
