Self-harm was how I use to fix social issues, relationships ending, and family issues. I got help shortly after I started when I was 16. I haven't cut myself or injured myself in five years, but know i have to live with the scars of wanting to be dead. The reasons I quit, was because it was hurting my friends, family, and myself. It was mentally screwing me up. Don't ever think you can't stop, there is resources to help you stop.

Can you share some of those resources? A lot of people on here have struggled for years with this, regardless of how it feels to other. I bet many would like to know what you have done to stay clean for so long.

Some of the things I did, was I went to therapy, that helped me through the problems that were causing me to feel self harm. I talked to my friends and to my surprise I had a few friends that harmed them selves, that helped me by knowing I wasn't the only one struggling, and to know that some of them stopped doing it and gave me pointers to stop, and the friends that had never harmed them selves told me how it was affecting the feelings they had towards me. All of this affected me in some way or another, and here I am today to share what I have learned and how I feel about it know.
Thanks for this!
