Just because it is summer and I do not want to deal with hiding the burn marks.

The head banging is just as addictive but can cause more serious problems for your future/injure your brain; they don't put helmets on kids with autism/developmental disorders who bang their heads for nothing. I'd figure out a better way to relieve myself.

Please do not do this! That is very, very dangerous for yourself and your brain. You don't really know what could happen if you do that.

I mean, I don't want to suggest other self harming ideas to you, but there are things you can do if u need to, that don't involve hurting your head.

Calm down. It's not like I am bashing my skull in. It does not take that much force to create the desired pain to put out the fires. Especially on a cement wall. Can't use the regular sheet rock wall. No marks or scars to cover up. Emotionally afterwards I do feel a little bit more "crazy" than compared to cutting or burning. I realize how looney it must seem to someone who does not do this kind of behavior. It seems just looney to me when it am in clear/stable day.

I was someone who always banged their arms to have bruises rather than scars. I hope you start feeling better soon. I know how awful the urge is.

I sometimes bang my head for various reasons, and to cause brain damage. I feel the urge to do that now but I hope everyone else on here doesn't do that. I have autism and schizoaffective disorder. So the voices tell me to harm myself everyday and I have a chip in my brain that I want to destroy that receives the voices. I also thought broadcast. The voices tell me to cut as well and the thought is overwhelming right now. I have been sitting in my room crying.

What distraction do you feel help you push away the voices and the urge to self-harm?

music, video games, drawing, and building model airplanes. Right now though its hard to concentrate on doing anything. That is the problem. Music though drowns out most of the voices but I can only do that at home or in the car. I do have an iPod but no music is loaded on it, because I don't want to spend the money. The music at home is free at Spotify. I like making my own playlists. If I put it on my iPod for the playlists I have to pay per month. It calms down at night luckily, not feeling as bad now.
