Hi all...just wondering if there is anything else I can do for some infected cuts.Im sure that they are infected as they are really red around them and they have a greenish whitish centers.Ive been putting on an antibiotic ointment for days/and cleaning them and they are not improving.
I went two months no cutting then I lost it.....what a disapointment....dont want to go to gp.
Any suggestions?

I'm sorry for your disappointment. I think antibiotics are your only choice if it hasn't cleared up over a few days. Better oral antibiotics from your GP than IV antibiotics in the hospital from if you leave it too long. Take care.

I hate to say it... but if they arn't improving you really should go see someone about it before it gets worse.

Good luck

If it's too late for Hydrogen Peroxide to kill the bacteria inside the infected area, and the anti-biotic ointment isn't working! Then I agree with the others on this, you'll need a Doctors care, before it becomes gangrene!(if I even spelled that right)But it could get really serious if it gets to that stage!
I think you really should just go to your Doctor! It's the best thing for you to do!infected cuts infected cuts infected cuts infected cuts infected cuts

If the cuts are in a spot where you can soak them - you can use Espom Salts and water as warm as you can stand it.

Best thing to do is clean the cuts...antibiotic cream is good, and so is peroxide. It's a good thing you're going to the doctors, I had a cut on my leg once (not from self mutilation) but from shaving, and it got so infected that I couldn't walk and had to go to the hospital.
Good luck.
