I am a college student in Colorado. This spring I will graduate with a double major. A bachelor's degree in both History and Psychology. The history degree was easy. The Psych degree was a lot of work. I am again at the top of my class and have been working on my speech for some time. I will start my Master's program in June. I am doing a double major again. In History and Counseling. Again the history degree will be easier than the counseling degree. It will take 2 years before I will be done. The hard part is the required hours of counseling. Even before I can start I have to go 6 months without cutting.

Today is 3 weeks without cutting. It has not been easy. I think my best ever was a month. Please pray for me that I will be able to do this and come September start my internship.

Determination. My goal to be a Psychologist. I think that is my driving force.

But I also think Anna, my girlfriend has made a difference. Since she has moved in the need to cut has diminished. Her being here also helps I have instant help, someone to talk to.

Today is Week Three Day Four...

It was a good day. Mostly resting. Will skip the run today. I have never missed this much school before. But it has been nice.
Thanks for this!

Today is Week Three Day Five...

It was a perfect day. Last day I will miss from school. I think I have recovered from my last collapse. I will start running again tomorrow full strength. I will resume my swimming on Monday.

I can do this... My initial goal was 30 days. Almost there...

I was very lazy today. I sat here on the computer and played silly games all day. Anna is visiting her parents this weekend and I really miss her. She only moved in a few weeks ago but she has been a big part of my life. Tomorrow will be another long day. I am going to try checking out a new church. My sister and I are going out for dinner tonight. So I'm not really alone.

I had no thoughts of cutting today.

Week Three Day Six

It has been getting easier

This could not have been a worst day. Maybe I should not say that. It could have been worst. It started bad. I had to explain to my teachers why I was going to be out another week. But they all understood. But I started shaking anyways. my place as the top student is not in jeopardy. But when I got home I was hit by wave after wave of terrible thoughts. Suicidal thoughts, cutting thoughts. I took some sleep meds and went to bed but woke up trembling and shaking. It only got worst. I was afraid I would collapse and I feared that. A friend took me out for coffee and I was shaking badly through most of the time. When I got home it continued. Then I started playing games here and an innocent post made me cry. Weep is more likely. Then Anna came home and I am still shaking but a little more control...

Today is 29 days. My best is 30 days. The immediate goal is 31... Almost there...

Thank you, I am truly amazed I did no harm. It still has not subsided... Today was a triumph or extraordinary endurance.
