Yesterday I went to the store looking for razor blades. I was determined to start cutting again. I walked around with them in my hand for 30 minutes. Finally, I put them down and bought some binge food ( a lesser of two evils I figured). I told my therapist that I used to cut but I told her It doesnt really come up anymore. I think its time to talk to her..

Sounds like it would be a good idea. Congratulations for not buying the razors.

I am so proud of you. I know how it feels to do what you did. To have the sharp thing in hand, to hold it, walk around with it, then to finally put it back. It is a...well and interesting feeling to say the least, mixed with pride, relief and regretful sadness. But you did it and whats more you know it is time to talk to your therapist about it. You had a big day, a little binge food is well deserved. I recommend you measure out your portions. I find that I can stop a binge...slow it down anyway...if I make myself measure the portion according to the amount listed on the package, putting the portions on a plate and using very small spoons. ![]() Carrie <font color=blue>If you have two dollars, spend one on bread and the other on flowers. It's SOOO awesome that you left those razors behind!!! Congratulations! And the fact that you did so means that there is still a huge part of you that's wanting to fight the urge when it does come up. Hang on to that part, for sure! Yes I think you should definitely talk to your therapist about it, both so that she knows you might struggle with this some more, AND so that she can celebrate with you that you overcame the urge! I think every time you are able to do this, it's another victory. So way to go!
