It depends on exactly what you mean.

Is the muscle movement restricted or can you move the muscle but it causes pain?

Are the cuts warm, reddened or swollen?

Or is it bruised around the cuts? Sometimes I've had bruising which can be quite painful.

It is possible that you bruised along with the cuts.

Infection is usually indicated by swelling, warmth, redness all around the cut, pain, and sometimes discharge.

I hope you are ok, Gabs.

hmmmmm i read that totally different - like muscle pain around healed cuts... like the body is expecting more, or is having phantom pains from all the times before. i get those. like a burning that i would get from the cuts a day or more later. but i get it now when i haven't cut for over a week or two.

I'd go with yet - quit waiting and get in to get them seen... you don't want it turning funny and gangreen or blood poisoning.

Since you say it feels hot around them then I think you should go to your dr quickly, you don't want blood poisoning from this, it could kill you.

Try also washing them with something like Savlon or Dettol too...
