I threw out all of my razor blades. Actually, they are in a bag in the garbage, but that is not enough. I am going out to get coffee and I am going to bring the bag with me and place it in an outside garbage can. There are obviously still many objects around the house that I could SI with, but this is a step for me right now; this is what I need to do. It doesn't mean this is the momentous beginning that signifies a stop to my behavior-- it doesn't mean I will stop forever, or even for a day... but I am taking care of myself right now. For right now, I will stop.

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{FANTASTIC PINK}}}}}}}}}}}}!!!!!!!!I am
so very happy for you! What you did represents a huge step
in your recovery. Just a Thought: This may be the opportune time to make an Personal Emergency Plan that you could follow if you ever feel urge, cravings, etc.
Remember the Proverb: "The best time to repair the roof is when the sun is shining".

I am in awe. I am not that strong, and I make excuses for not throwing my blades away. I think that you have shown huge courage in taking this step. Good luck.

I made it through a couple of days and then ended up burning two nights in a row. Oh well. Like I said, I'm not extreme about this or anything (one of the only things I'm not extreme about). Whatever, it was just where I at. I think I'm in some sort of transition. I have just started the meditation, so I am only a beginner-- it is not enough to become "bigger" than the SI yet. I am going to start the yoga classes this weekend-- Starting with Kundalini yoga, which is meditation focused. Also, medication wise, I am completely unstable and I see pdoc on Mon, so it's back to the drawing board again (his words). Maybe after this 18th time, the right combo will be hit upon.

Wow - you go! Kundalini is hard! Hatha is the easy one i have to do (for beginners). I wasn't able to go to my last two classes =( I agree, it is helpful. It is also helpful to me because it is in t's clinic. *grin*.

hope this works for you Pink

Hi I'm new to this forum. But I just wanted to say that I SI too. I was caught 2 years ago by my school counselor and she told my parents. They yelled and screamed at me all night and did nothing about it. To this day they think that I've quit. They probably haven't even thought about it. But I do everyday. That is a huge step that you took out by throwing out your blades. Because it would scare me if I did. I have a lot of respect for you I did something. Im just on here because I want to meet some new people so I want to stop hurting myself. I do it because a lot of things go on in my house. But anyways... Send me a message if you want to talk.
