I am not suicidal today-sorry about that guys! But I am still having urges to cut-rather intense ones. I did not tell anyone about my suicidal thoughts b/c I know what will happen, although I should probably tell the psychiatrist tomorrow so he might switch my meds. What should I do?

Good to see u feeling a little better. Yes for sure tell ur pdoc how you feel. Everything needs to be looked at to help u best.

Don't be sorry for expressing what is going on for u. We are all just concerned. I think u got through the suicidal feelings and although u have the SI in mind, you do aknowledge that u are struggling. This is important. So yes, be honest at ur appointment.

Good luck and let us know the outcome. Hang in there, you are doing great. Maybe hard to see right now. Keep talking, it does help.

Halliebeth:

Definitely, without a DOUBT, tell your psychiatrist about your suicidal urges, a meds change might be what's in order. No matter what, dear, the important thing is to keep yourself safe, no matter the cost. I will be sending positive thoughts your way well i am not suicidal...

Take Care of yourself
Stay Safe,
Kimberly.

Halliebeth, I've just been reading this and your other threads. I'm glad that you are feeling a little better now. Please do be honest with your psychiatrist. They need to know what is going on so that they can help you. It really doesn't have to be so bad. Good luck to you tomorrow, and please let us know how it goes, ok?

When you talk to your psychiatrist ask him about the hospital procedures so that he can let you know what it is like to go there in case of an emergency. This will help ease your mind incase you get into the state you were the other day AND it will ease his mind because he will know that you want to keep yourself safe.

My pys. has this way of making everyone feel like a complete idiot. I didnt tell him about the thoughts, I was too scared to. As I was leaving my T saw me and asked to speak with me. She knew about the called I had made to the Suicide Prevention hotline. She didnt feel as if I was in danger so she isnt going to tell my mom. I explained to her that I wasnt sure why I had those thoughts but that I wasnt going to act on them anyway-thats why I call the hotline. Thanks for answering guys!!!!!!! Me Luvs U all!!!!!!!!!!!!!
