Social Security cost-of-living increase likely to raise benefits by modest 1.3% in 2021

That's good to hear. Every little bit helps.
Thanks for this!

Yep, it's still peanuts in the scheme of things, but I'm not complaining. I just am concerned that the payments will be cut before I kick the bucket.

5 scams spreading online that can cost you thousands

The AARP newspaper also reported that fake costumer service phone numbers are being posted and the person at the number tries to get your SSN and other crucial information, so they can steal your money.

I’ve been on SSDI for years and as the cost of living increases do not mirror real life cost of living I’m poorer every year. ACA was a godsend to me as I’m eligible for extra benefits. Without it I’d be much worse off. And of course the coverage of pre-existing conditions is essential. Frankly I’m surprised they have a raise of any kind since trump proposed eliminating pay roll tax. Don’t know how they plan on paying for it. I hope the working poor realize that not paying the tax makes them ineligible for SS and SSDI.
