For valentines day at church a couple w/ 4 kids led our lesson and meal to follow. The topic was how the church talks about sex. Like it is a sin, like it is dirty, or so horrible it's not something that should even be mentioned. We talked about how that changes our since of reality. This couple along w/ the preacher talked about how sex is sacred. It is the joining of two after marriage. It is a gift from God to create new life. It is a gift of connecting two people who love each other and will add to togetherness. It's not such a horrible thing.

Theoretically, I know this but, really??????????? It just seems so wrong. I know society has messed around with this a lot and skewed our perceptions as a whole on what it exactly is and what it means. But, really?????????? Is it ok??? Is what I'm doing ok? Is what I'm thinking and feeling ok????

Absolutely, yes. Humanity (or any other sexually reproducing species, for that matter) would've died out a LONG time ago if it were not. Sexuality is a perfectly normal part of being alive, IMO. That doesn't mean it can't be scary...I'm very scared/nervous at the prospect of my first time. Lots of things to take into account, among other "Harley Unique" fears. But it's normal...both to be curious about it and to be, at the same time, a little afraid.
