Is it healthy and pleasing? Or is it one sided pleasure?

I read that oral sex isn't natural form of sex and doesn't give pleasure to giving end because mouth doesn't have any receptors.

As they say, the only unnatural act is the one you literally can't perform.

Maybe you could read about technique for giving oral sex and try it.

Well.....

...back in the days when I had a sex partner I liked to place an Andes mint in my bra until it was warm and soft and then spread the chocolate on my mate's penis. Yummy fellatio and yes it was pleasing for us both!

If the mouth had no receptors, people wouldn't kiss, babies wouldn't put stuff in their mouth, etc. Time for you to stop reading and start living!

We are blessed with sensual ways of enjoying every part of our body. The tongue is sensual and the way it touches a woman softly on the mouth when kissing awakens other areas. kissing our thighs then to the best area makes oral sex orgasmic/enjoyable. The same for a man. A woman's kiss on every part of his body can only be sensual/sexual. same for a Woman to another Woman, or a Man to another Man whatever your pleasure is.

OMG, oral is the only way to go. I told my H it is a good thing he doesn't mind giving that cause if he didn't and I knew it before we got married he better have some other really good talent, cause that can't be beat. But he likes to give it and I like to receive it. And due to unfortunate circumstances I do not like to return the favor. He can live w/ that.

Agreed, quit reading and start living.

rofl Remind me to keep that in mind if I should ever find a girl who shares my love of Andes chocolates, would you?

lol On topic, I don't think, as far as giving goes, it's so much a matter of what you the giver get out of it pleasure wise...I think the aim is (barring reciprocation) giving your partner pleasure, and the benefit the giver gets is primarily derived from the satisfaction of pleasing the other partner. Granted, I've never been in the position to have any firsthand knowledge on the matter, but that's how I would look at it.

Come on, people would be unable to enjoy chocolate, cheese, wine, and all the other delights of civilization.

Healthy or not depends on whether it is protected.

I have not orgasmed from cunnilingus and have not received much of it, unfortunately, so I can only comment on fellatios.

So,

- unprotected fellatio can lead to spreading communicable diseases
- if there are no diseases, unprotected fellatio is healthy in that the woman consumes a very high protein food (or drink...I guess given the texture, it is in-between). That just came to my mind. Upon doing a quick web search, I got more: "semen already contains 150 mg of protein, 11 mg of carbohydrates, 6 mg fat, 3 mg cholesterol, 7% US RDA potassium and 3$ US RDA copper and zinc. " from wiki answers. But even with that addition, the main value is still from protein.
- further, if there are no diseases, unprotected fellatio within a couple about to conceive a child leads to a better immune compatibility between the mother and her fetus
Study: Oral sex makes pregnancies safer, more successful - by Terrence Aym - Helium
- semen has a delectable taste. My first boyfriend's semen (we had oral interactions only, no intercourse) tasted a bit like the best SF sourdough bread. Very intense and pleasant taste. It varies from person to person, though, but still, it is pleasant, and it is pleasant even for me, while I in general dislike the taste of salty foods (to an extreme degree). So I assume that for people who do not dislike the taste of salty foods quite as much, it would taste even better.

"give pleasure to giving end " - in my case, pleasure to the giving end can be beyond any way of describing it with words. Well, let me try... it will be in the past tense because I do not do that anymore - not done it since 2009
  1. it altered my state of consciousness without drugs
  2. I was able to experience what I called an "empathetic orgasm" - be that much a part of the man's experience
  3. and, it was just pleasurable beyond belief. Both the process and the result. beyond belief, and I liked prolonging the experience.

OK, so why do I not do it anymore if it was so good? Because I have to be passionately in love with the man to do all of that. Otherwise I am just not motivated. I cannot do it in a mechanistic fashion. I know some other women can, and I could, just a few times, in my youth, on a couple of guys who were just good friends and I did it for fun without having raw passion, but right now, I cannot. The guy I am currently with is very nice, and extra nice, and a great addition to my life and just all sorts of good things about him, but I am not passionately in love with him. So, I can do the missionary position intercourse with him fine, but not the various high energy expenditure acts, no. In addition, the relationship is not exclusive so I would need to do it in a protected way, and I have never wanted to have rubber in my mouth. But even that obstacle could be overcome if I had enough passion. Without boundless raw passion, I cannot even begin to think about fellatios, but with the boundless raw passion present, fellatios are my favorite part of sex. That much about the pleasure of the giver.

I am hoping that the love and passion for the current guy will eventually come to being and then I will fellate him. Funny... the software that spell-suggests suggested to me that I wanted to type "fell ate" him instead.

That is not a correct statement. Correctly put, oral sex is not a procreative form of sex. If you saw it called "unnatural" in print, what you were reading was probably a relict of

You titled the topic "...views..." = thoughts, opinions.

You cannot form those for yourself without living. It is not a theoretical point.

heh... sounds like something a woman would say... always so happy to receive it, but making excuses to get out of giving it . just out of curiosity, do you remember where you read it?

anyhow, it won't give you the same sort of pleasure as the person receiving it would be having, so i guess it makes it pretty subjective. personally, i feel that true perfection can only be reached when a man and woman (or women ) are on the same level. if one isn't out to please the other, then it throws off the whole balance. there's nothing worse than when sex becomes routine (except maybe not having sex at all), so its important that the people involved give it 100%.

well, it isn't 100% safe. anytime bodily fluids are exchanged there is going to be at least some risk. as for the other questions, i'd say try it and find out

No offence... but even reading about eating / drinking the semen I find it yuk... that makes another thread for me...
I don't have any experience on sex and never discussed about this with anyone. All information I had was what was given in sex education classes and then while dealing with friends. PC had definitely increased my curiosity to know about it more from others experience definitely (can't ask my other friends these direct and personal questions). I'm yet not thinking to experience one myself.

Sorry for incomplete information... biologically mouth has no receptors for sexual pleasure, receptors in mouth are for taste... if taste is linked to sexual pleasure, then may be....

Scent, texture - sex is not something you can really learn about from a book. Like cooking. You can learn the steps from a book, but you really have to do it to say you've cooked.

I think oral sex is a good thing if both parties enjoy it. I enjoy giving my spouse oral sex, even though there isn't much pleasure on my side. I think it is the act of giving pleasure to someone you love brings intimacy.

On the other side I have never been able to finish with oral sex alone. I'm taking it as a good thing, but I don't know how to give fellatio and I can't tell her how to do it any better. It feels good, and I enjoy it, but she gets frustrated that she can't make me finish and eventually her jaw hurts. Sex feels a lot better.

Thank You all for your answers. I was searching the website for more information and somewhere found that the enjoyment is definitely others pleasure but in many cases we do it even if we don't like it and don't speak to our partners feeling that they will feel sad. And it goes on.
Still lot for me to think before I dive into this ocean of sexual pleasure myself
PC had given a beginning definitely.

there's an argument to be made for better sex education. I learned a lot from two people in particular, but one was over the phone - I should clarify, in the days before phone sex! A male friend simply gave me instructions in fellatio. I don't know where he learned from, but I guess I learned alright. The other, I learned about my own body from another woman, and my only thought at the time was, wow, I wish I had learned this about 20 years sooner, my whole life could have been different. Like the poet said, Gather ye rosebuds while ye may.

Views...hmm I guess my virgin views are that I would not want to use the flavored condoms I have been saving because I am very curious about the taste of cock and the juices that follow. But I would prefer the pubic hair shaved, don't want that in my mouth! How soon in the relationship would I give bjs? Well, I haven't gotten that far but I'll tell ya when I have!

Traditionally, a lot of people have started and do start with them due to their non-procreative nature. I did. Maybe it happens less so now than before.

This is not a concern in your case: you are on the Pill and have condoms. I would just follow your passion/curiosity or whatever drives you. Being very curious sounds good enough of a reason to try something.

If you are curious but do not want to experience anything (yet), I would advise you to read better quality materials on sex. The materials quoted in OP are of highly dubious quality.

There are lots of good reads available, I would think. You just need to find them.
