Ok so this is really personal and embaressing. I don't even know if this is the right category to ask this in.. but its the only one regarding sex period soo..

I have 4 pimple looking things, down there. yeah. and im really realy stressed. My doctor told me shes 80% sure its NOT herpes. It could be some other type of infection. the main reason im hanging on to the fact its not herpes is because, herpes comes and goes. outbreaks last a bit, then go away. these dots have lasted, consistently non changing non disappearing, for over 2 months now.

is it possible that there is herpes out there that doesn't come and go and stays forever and I have it? lol. (am I that doomed with bad luck?!!)

What do you guys think? anyone know anything about infections it could be or had experience with herpes or any other infection.. please let me know!!

and in the meantime, before I get checked, how can I calm my mind.. ?

In the meantime, trust in your doctor's judgement. Remind yourself that your doctor has seen many cases of herpes and if she is pretty sure then you can be pretty sure. Hand in there until you get the test results. Good luck.

Not being a doctor, I can't say for sure, but I can tell you about one experience I had.

When I was in college, I had a couple of bumps 'down there.' I discovered them while taking a shower and went to our college health department. The doctor said they were genital warts, froze them off, and that was that. The annoying thing is that I was told you can only get genital warts from sexual activity and I was not nor had ever been sexually active at that time. I think they thought I was lying--how can a person be in college and not have had sex yet?!

Anyway, I still don't know what it really was, but I think there are a few options that don't point to herpes.
Thanks for this!

How do you clean yourself? Do you use any powders to prevent sweating and/or smelling? I got a pimple like that because I was over-cleaning myself and using a harmful product that was not designed to be used on the vaginal region. It cleared up once I stopped and bought a fem wash.

Well, I don't like 80% for something of such weight, but 2 months sounds absurd for an outbreak. Though I'm no doctor, I don't think your doctor is incorrect.

That being said, what are they like? Are they painful to the touch? I'd wager it's an ingrown hair or, perhaps as doc said, a reaction to something. Can you think of any changes in your routine that would coincide with the start of these things?

Listen to your doc. If you're unsure get a second opinion. "Pustules" are what my boyfriend was told many years ago, he had the same worries/questions. I get random inflammations once in a whilel as well. They only happen when I shave.

If you are worried about the, diagnosis get a second opinion; also look up, Pustules.

I would trust your doctor's words. Your doctor has gone through years and years of medical schooling. They should know medicine inside and out.
