Hi people

This is probably not really a sexual issue but it was the only place I could post it.

Anyone into nudism here? That is they enjoy being naked by themselves or with people? There is no sexual desire attached to be naked, its a lifestyle thing. I regularly visit a nudist beach in summer and sometimes I go to improve my mental health which actually improves when swimming naked in the ocean.

I'd love to go to a nudest beach but I dont have the guts!

I enjoy being naked in my house but the only time I have been naked out of my house is when I am hypomanic. I am a lot more confident about my body then haha.
Thanks for this!

Thanks Supanova, maybe one day try it at a beach, you will soon realise that no one cares that your naked there.

I like the idea of nudism, but not the idea that it has to be completely asexual. I don't want to become desensitized to the sight of naked women in all their glory. The first thing that comes to mind about being in a nudist group would be all the women I'd get to look at and enjoy. My hope is that the abundance of such sights would cause me to no longer be shocked or startled. It would be like going from a starvation diet to a situation where food is so readily available that a person could stop thinking about where the next meal is coming from. It would satisfy a need, and bring feelings of comfort and security. The desire to stare intently would pass, but I would hope that the appreciation and admiration would remain. It would, in part, remain sexual, if not so overtly. It is honest satisfaction, rather than suppression, which makes transcendence possible. More importantly than all the nudity out there to be admired, though, is being seen myself. Being no longer a virgin and having been fortunate in my partners, I know I felt more myself while being looked at and really seen. It feels good to be appreciated - which is different from being used. Being naked and alone isn't much different than being naked and fully dressed. Consider how routine it is to being nude in the shower or bath, by yourself, simply in the context of getting clean. It isn't the same as knowing someone is looking. I wouldn't want being seen in the nude in mixed company to lose that edge. Just guessing on this, but I believe that when the clothing falls away all sorts of mental and emotional barriers drop away with them.
Thanks for this!

My wife and I often don't wear clothes in our house. We often hang out with friends while naked too. It's very nice to be able to relax about it and be comfortable.

We've gone to a nude beach once.
Thanks for this!

Thanks people

Inedible, I hear what your saying, yes you still do admire women and can even get sexually aroused seeing them naked. However, you soon realize your in a social context, not a sexual context so for most we can control our sexual desires during that time. It's not for everyone as some people want to maintain their sense of privacy.

I don't know. It just seems partial to me, like those nude photos celebrities like to take where all the goodies are strategically covered. There aren't a lot of common contexts for nudity in general. Showering / bathing and sex are by far the most pleasant that came to mind. School locker rooms for gym class and examinations at the doctors' office came to mind. For normal social interaction, clothes stay on - especially with anyone under 18 years old around. If the clothes come off and all is revealed, there would have to be a sense of something different going on even after everyone stops looking. Isn't that the entire point of organizing social nudity in the first place?

And the thing is, I do think I like the idea. It sounds like a supportive environment where people would really be looking at me. Most of my life I have felt almost invisible.

I am a nudist at heart. I hate clothes. There is a nudist camp near my house but I don't dare go there. I am overweight and hate even my husband seeing me naked. In my younger days heck yeah!

When I stayed home with young children, I did not put clothes on them. Saved lots of time, water, and detergent! They were either naked or just wearing a diaper.

If kids go to preschool, then you cannot do that.

It helped with potty-training, too - no need to take off lots of clothes to go to the bathroom; easier for both child and parent.
