I've been dealing with Panic Attacks for the last year and a half. One of the symptoms of my Panic Attacks is that I will get a tingling sensation in my arms and legs. The episodes have gotten better over time, but I still have symptoms sometimes. Lately I have had some physical symptoms come back that I thought I was done with.
I also have been active in the BDSM scene for most of my adult life and I enjoy being a rope bottom. Panic attacks can mimic actual physical problems. Because of this if I end up feeling my arms or legs go to sleep during a scene I don't have a good way of knowing if I'm actually having circulation problems or if my body is just being an *** hat. Any advice on this issue would be appreciated. I'm willing to stop a scene for my anxiety if necessary but I don't want to feel like my physical symptoms are holding me back. I haven't talked to my doctor about this particular issue because I'm not quite sure how to bring it up. |

one way i have learned to deal with panic attacks is to relax. it is physically impossible to panic and relax at the same time. so if you have ever done relaxation exercises to know how your body feels, that wet noodle feeling, that is all you have to go for. you dont actually have to relax, you just have to mimic relaxation in your body. so when a panic attack comes on, just imagine all your muscles totally relaxing, going into that wet noodle state and the panic attack will stop. you may have to repeat it a few times the first times you try it but it actually works. my panic attacks went completely away.
