My wife and I were in a somewhat swinging lifestyle for about 6 years. She grew out of it and is now no longer interested.

I on the other hand can't stop thinking about it. It has always excited me to let her be with other men in front of me.

I know this is a fetish. How do I stop being excited by the thought of it.

In the long run, you are going to have to respect your wife's decision and you will soon have to move on from the excitement of it. How soon did this stop? It could be that you enjoyed this for so long that it not being there is just new. After time, and you get used to the joys of being the only one with your wife, you may find that you enjoy that just as much. There is also replacing that fetish with something that you and your wife can do together, you know, bringing in something new to the bedroom just for you two. Ya'll led a kinda spicy lifestyle and maybe you are just not used to it being just the two of you.

You'll never be done being excited by the thought. But, if wifey wants to move on, you should respect her wishes and discover something new that SHE would like to try, or call it a break on the extra curricular activities. Nuzzle and enjoy each other solo. Nothing wrong with a break. It's hard to take a break if your an obsessive person like me, but it's possible. Take time to reinvent yalls self. Take a breather. Too much of a thing can be toxic. Relax. Former (still is) sex addict.

Can fetishes be "corrected"?-- I'm not sure if they can be. My own T has said that they can be "transformed" but perhaps not eliminated.

A sex therapist may be able to help you and your wife find common ground.
