During the day I'm so exhausted, but when it gets closer to night, to the time I should already be asleep, I feel really awake. My schedule keeps changing. Sometimes it's normal, sometimes it's nocturnal, usually its in between. Usually, I fall asleep later and later every day. I definately don't feel happy or like the life of the party like a person with mania would. I can't find words to speak really. My mind is pretty blank. I don't know what it is. Am I half sleeping during the day and that's how I have more energy at night? I don't know....Is my dissociation what is effecting my schedule, because I lose time? Hmmmm....??? I know I have anxiety, but I don't really feel it unless I'm having a panic attack or something.....???

That actually sounds very similar to me most of the time. Up until say 5 pm each day I am so tired I could go to sleep at a moment's notice, after that though, I'm wide awake and I have to make myself go to sleep at a decent time (usually around 11, because I have to be up at 6). Sometimes I actually fall asleep, sometimes I just lay there forever, sometimes I just get back up, or not go to bed at all. I think for me its an anxiety thing and a sleep schedule thing. For some reason, I am ALWAYS more tired during the day (unless I am hypomanic). Depression or not, though, I am tired-tired during the day.

Oh, and I do most of the time, feel my anxiety. A general tension in my shoulders, my stomach is in knots, etc. My anxiety is related to my paranoia and I, for some reason, am less paranoid at night time. Hm, so maybe that's why its easier for me to be awake then? Because for me sleep definitely = safety.

I may have phsyical symptoms of anxiety that I ignore. I don't usually feel it because I numb myself. During the night I know that no one will come over. My father comes over during the day sometimes, unannounced. So at night, I know he won't come over, that's one reason I prefer to be awake at night. Also, must of my trauma happened at night (usually after I fell asleep) and I have nightmares at times, so those are reasons I don't want to go to sleep. I also had severe insomnia before for about two months after a trauma (my son was almost kidnapped) to the point I became hallucinating and even before that too, I had problems falling asleep, because I had to stay awake to make sure my son was okay and safe. I suppose it is anxiety, it's just been too much for me to handle, so I've ingored it.

(((ashadow721))) that most definitely does sound like anxiety. I'm sorry you've gone through so much.

My sleeping patterns are exactly the same, throughout the day all I want to do is sleep, and I force myself to stay awake. But it's so hard to judge how long to stay awake for because if I sleep to early I'll wake up in the middle of the night, but if I leave it too late then I'll suddenly wake up and never get too sleep. I really hate it.

Why suffer from anxiety if there is a new technique of Brainwave Optimization with RTB? Where they help to remove anxiety in Montgomery County.
