This sucks... I just woke up. It's 3:00 pm. I'm really ****ed up. Lately my sleep has been completely out of control and I've been trying everything I can to get it back under control, but it's just simply not working... Last night I tried to go to sleep 4 or 5 times and all I ended up doing was lying there staring at my wall. Each time I waited about 15 minutes. Nothing. And this isn't the first time either. This has been going on for a while now.
I've been logging my sleep and the results look awful... From the 12th to the 24th these are my waking times, my sleeping times and the number of hours I'm getting each night: 12:00pm 01:00am 10 02:00pm 01:00am 12 07:00am 02:00am 10 12:00pm 01:00am 10 08:00am 01:00am 7 08:00am 12:00am 10 05:00am 09:00pm 5 11:00am ? 14 04:00pm 03:00am ? 08:00am 09:00pm 5 06:00am 10:00pm 9 02:00am 12:00am 14 03:00pm 06:00am 9 I've tried opening my window during the day, turning off all lights during the night, keeping all stimulating activities out of my room (like using a computer), journaling to get my thoughts out of my head before I go to bed, using scents like lavender, I don't even drink coffee or soda, turning on the radio or listening to soft music, exercising (not too close to bed time though), drinking chamomile tea, using Benadryl, taking a warm bath ... that's about it I think. None of these things really help much. I'm really getting desperate here... Does anyone here have any suggestions? |

Have you tried waking up at the same time everyday? Its difficult but it can help with your problem.
Are you on any sedating medications? |

Hi,
I didn't get much of the sleeping time schedule though 02:00am 12:00am 14 hours this one doesn't make much sense, but anyway, if you are sleeping too late that would be the worst, it is never good for your mental health to be going to bed late at night, as well as for your routine and life. I thinking you are doing a lot of good stuff already. I would add to that No tv Make notes on a agenda the things you have to do tomorrow. Try to organize, call whatever (think about something that you could do, a simple thing that would be helpful, or make you feel good in some way) A little earlier in the night. Camomile tea To have a nice book, to follow you up the weeks (i would recommend shantaram) One of the most important things is to add to your life exercises, ( I don't which one would fit the most for you, but maybe some cool martial arts, or Pilates, or yoga) One more thing: This week i'm going to schedule myself an acunpucturist. I think you should do the same, and you can talk about some of your body issues, sleep, I think it will help you. |
