So, I guess the title is sort of a paradox.
I have serious insomnia issues, on average. I sleep about 2-4 hours a night, and that's a good night. I'm not sure why I don't sleep, I've tried everything from reading to white noise to sleeping medication and no prevail. But when I do sleep, I have really bizarre and disturbing dreams. I think my brain is trying to tell me something, but I'm not sure what exactly. My most recent dream, I was romantically involved with my high school teacher. And I'm not sure why. He doesn't like me, and I don't really like him, but then this dream happened. And I'm all confused. Does this mean something? Or is this my brain being random? |

You're not alone. I have the exact same problems as you .. Often I just can't get to sleep or if I do it's for a few hours. And I get weird dreams too when I actually sleep.
Perhaps someone else has a better answer, but I've figured for the last 6 or so years that my dreams are random. The insomnia ... I'm not sure why I have that. I'm actually pretty comfortable and happy with my life at the moment, so it's either an underlying health problem or psychological problem that I can't put my finger on ... maybe? Are you the same, or do you think there might be something substantial behind your insomnia/dreams? |

It sounds like whether the insomnia caused the disturbing dreams or some issues in your life has caused you to have insomnia and form the bad dreams.
When I used remember my dreams, I found that details from my life would become themes or representative in the dreams as odd/ weird stories. Now I wake up in the morning with the emotion(s) that came from my unremembered dreams. |

I don't want to go into detail, as it may not be appropriate, but I do very much remember a thorough kissing... I couldn't look at him the same way today.
