Yesterday afternoon I was out on my neighbor's covered porch enjoying the warm weather and was riding off their wi-fi while browsing the web and I was offered some good kind and took a few puffs and soon found myself unable to get up or move (I HAVE LOW TOLERANCE SINCE I DON'T SMOKE IT MUCH) but would love to move to a state with legal medicinal.

I realize there are those that would say stay away from it and those that themselves on here that indulge but for me its like only every few months. I ended up going to bed to Pink Floyd at 7:30PM instead of the 10pm bedtime. *I wasn't paranoid, but was getting sleepy, never got the munchies just a calm mind that was ready for sleep.

Anybody else that partakes find that it helps you go to sleep more easily than just laying down and waiting for sleep? Weed is not a day thing for me I prefer to take it in the evening and put on some dreamy music (PINK FLOYD, HEARTS OF SPACE RADIO SHOW) and get a good nights sleep.

PLEASE NO ARGUMENTS... I may be an alcoholic but I don't drink anymore. A little grass here and there is fine with me.

POSITIVE EXPERIENCES WANTED

I certainly find it can help me sleep....I also find it helps with digestive discomfort, anxiety and can help my mood. I initially smoked it to experience the 'high' which is nice but its probably those practical uses that make me intrested in continuing my use of it.

I don't get medicinal, but its been legalized in my state for recreational use so it is legal for me to use it without the MMJ card.

Texas will probably never legalize it.

I'm in Texas too.....We're going backwards as far as moving forwards

Still...it helps me tremendously as far as anxiety and sleep.

I tried it once when I went to a friend's house. I hadn't slept in days and my mood was at rock bottom. I had a try and suddenly my mood shot up. I laughed for the first time in quite a while. I began to smile and that smile became a grin. We laughed and joked well into the night and then I fell asleep feeling relaxed, calm and safe. Best night's sleep I ever did have. I left his place genuinely in good spirits. That was a year ago. And I'm going to stay at his place on Friday. Knowing him, his apartment will have lingering fumes, so just being in the room will lighten my mood. I rate it quite well. In fact, I don't understand why a plant is illegal. The doctors won't medicate me with sleeping tablets because I often have SUI intentions. So this is truly the best thing for me. I won't overdose and I'll finally get a decent amount of sleep.

It usually makes me super sleepy and relaxed. I also like listening to music like Jem while on it.

Don't look at it as one drug, there are so many strains and variations some of which will help many kinds of symptoms others will ruin you. Like any other medicine, it has side effects which differ from person to person. For me a 50\50 cross works well, or a pure indica. Sativas make me anxious and sleep is impossible. Do your research as some strains can help, also method of consumption matters. Hope this helps ;-)

Yea totally agree with you... I don't mess around with alcohol or hard drugs anymore and enjoy the occasional smoke with good friends and I'm the lucky type of person that doesn't get "paranoid" like some ppl do but we all got different body chemistry and medication we are on. I like to sit outside and people watch when I do smoke or listen to music.

In a year or so I plan to be moving out to Phoenix, AZ where a lot of my friends are and they will help me find a place and a doctor so I can get my MMJ card cause medicinal is legal out there. Virginia will never change... too many ppl here that believe all the government lies... ha!

Much Peace

There was a time where I used to smoke and it always used to help me sleep. Now I have a lot of problems trying to get to sleep cause my mind always tend to wander all over the place. However whenever I used to smoke, I got to sleep with no problem what so ever. Ended up having to give it up last year due to other circumstances happening in my life. Glad to know that it's helping you out though.
Thanks for this!

Well was with friends yesterday that had some "sour diesel" and caught a good buzz and after helping said friends clean up back yard from tree and junk waste found and rebuilt a trellis arch to go between two gardens.

Went home, had a hamburger... put on my headphones listening to bad company and fell asleep by 8pm and didn't wake up until 6:30am this morning with a GREAT nights sleep... didn't even remember any of my dreams but noticed my depression is much more under control and my anxiety has decreased some. Heck yea I'm a happy camper. Wish I could catch a buzz before bedtime every night and I would solve my insomnia for good. All I know is that this was good bud. I still am clueless what strains I should be looking for knocking out insomnia. Wish I lived in Colorado. Buzzkill... stuck in Virginia for another year at least.

Just thought I'd update this thread since I just wanted to add a slice to it.

It used to help me sleep when I was 19-21. When I hit 22, it made me more awake than anything. I smoked recently since I do not have my medication, and my friends are trying anything to help ease my anxiety. I didn't become sleepy, I ended up just staring off for a very long time.

It did put me out like a light when I was a little younger. I am turning 24 this summer, and it doesn't do much for me anymore.
