If you get cold on the forehead and temples when you have laid down to sleep, does this mean that your bedroom is too cold?

Thank you Thunder Bow, I read that will help, but I am afraid it will disrupt my sleep.
I might try keep it a little warmer in my bedroom as I feel the cold on my temples and forehead are uncomfortable. Maybe the bedroom is too cold for me. |

People years ago used to wear nightcaps, bed socks, keeping a regular post temperature is the key,

![]() I have found out I sleep better with socks on. And yesterday I went back to turn off the temperature totally in the living room as I did before and pulled the curtains again. The cold doesnt reach me that much when I pulled the curtains and I can get enough air so that it felt comfortable, Now its soon summer so it may have felt comfortable right now as its not so cold at nights. I still didnt sleep the best, as expected, as I didnt sleep good before either, but I slept maybe a bit better ![]() |

Hello tearsinabottle , I've noticed when going through periods of insomnia, that I get to learn where all the cold drafts are in my bedroom , one comes up the side of the bed and wall,
I sometimes wear socks T-shirt, but gradually take them off during the night , but sometimes have to put them back on. In the summer is worse because I can't sleep if I don't have a heavy duvet over me Do you have that problem ? |

You know, your post made me very aware of something I had forgotten. I remember a couple years ago my bed was on opposite place of the room and I do think I slept a bit better at that time and then my bed was not on the floor. A year ago or so I took of the legs on the bed and now the bed is on the floor.
I live in 4th floor so its not that its coming cold from the ground, but it may be a reason why sleep is worse then bed is where it is now. |

Also its important to keep the bedroom totally dark using blind folds and to keep out any noises that may interrupt sleep. But this you may already know.

And not to forget it would be great if we could stop looking tv /using internet/phone at least at 10-11 pm. Because doing these things will delay the brain to shut down. The light from these electric equipment are not good for us in the long run and specially not at night when we want to sleep.
I also read that its not good to sleep close to any electric equipment and that we should be at least 2-3 meters away from it when sleeping. This is why I moved my bed in the first place, that and because of noise. |

a hat would be a good idea, it makes me thing of an old man in his pj's with a cap on!!

Sleeping with a down comforter may help....good for snuggling up in....they are "airy" but warm.

Is a down comforter like a duvet or it is made of something else?

I find things like hot (caffeine free) beverages, warm baths or a safe to sleep with heating pad can also help. In my case a purring kitty also helps

The last two days or was it only yesterday, I dont remember, but I didnt use much computer and not so much tv either, tried drink less pepsi and before going to bed I turned down the temperature totally in the kitchen too so theres no heat at all on in any rooms exept bathroom. I live in a small apartment, even it would be a bit cold to be up without any heat on, its not cold in the bed. I have the window slightly open in the side room to get a bit air and I started sleep with a T-shirt. A singlet would be too cold on the arms.
I am so surprised I got a better sleep. Yesterday I did sleep at 2am with one sleeping pill, I did not wake up in the night, not more than one time maybe early in the morning, but it didnt affect my sleep in a too bad way. I woke up at 10pm today and I had no need to sleep more and have not gotten tired today. Before this I slept at 2-4 am and woke up 2-3 times during sleep and had need to sleep 10-11 hours and still were extremely tired. I wonder if its just a coincidence, I just hope the better sleep will continue. Dont want to be thrilled too fast. But I am happy if this continue ![]() ![]() |

Well my sleep has been better lately. Maybe its the t-shirt I started sleep with. I have no idea. I wake up only one time after sleeping for 4-5 hours first then I sleep again many hours, up to 5 hours more. Maybe I am sleeping deeper and thats why I sleep so long or more. One day I slept without the pill, yesterday I took one pill.
Or maybe its just that my depression has made my sleep be longer. I dont know what it is, the t-shirt or mood. |
