I have nightmares all night, most nights. I cannot remember these dreams in the morning. Very rarely, I can remember the dreams when I wake during them, but they slip away so quickly. Even more rarely, I am aware that I am in a nightmare and that whatever is happening, however horrible, will eventually end and I will wake. I generally do not even remember having the nightmares. My partner tells me in the morning. I never feel rested. The nightmares come more and more often. Anyone have any idea what might be causing this and how I can stop it?

ANY help would be appreciated.

I don't know how much it would help, but are you seeing a therapist about the nightmares? Maybe they could help you get to the bottom of what's causing them and, in the process, also help you find ways to cope. In the meantime, have you tried reading before bed, or meditating? You could also put on a sound machine to help you sleep. But those are my suggestions, at least -- it's really different for everyone what helps them sleep.

I hope this helps, at least.

Anxiety is causing this. Look at what is happening in your waking life, that may be the source of that anxiety.

I have dreams of people actually being from the future, almost every night.
