Does anyone else have chronic trouble sleeping? I'll be exhausted, drained, and STILL not sleep. I'll try relaxing music or relaxation recordings before bed. I'll try deep breathing etc. And I'll get asleep, but staying asleep is a different matter. Anyone have any ideas on how to get and stay asleep?

Yes, me. I have trouble staying asleep as well. It has been going on for around 6 months. Wish I could help, but I haven't found the answer yet. All I can say is...keep trying. Hugs.
Thanks for this!

ever had a sleep study done? I have one coming up in a few days myself. I have a problem sleeping but the exact problem is that I usually sleep maybe 1-3 hours at most, wake up then get a drink or something to eat, then fall right back to sleep for another 1-3 hours.
Thanks for this!

Interrupted sleep is where I used to be. It was certainly a form of insomnia, at the same time, was exhausting. Aside from during a period of time, having some sleep aids to help me reset, some lifestyle changes came about and I haven't had the same struggles.

One piece was moving to a different community, and beginning to "feel safe" again, as a result. The other piece, is a change in my morning time of waking up due to my kids school times changed to earlier, with our move. I'm awake in the 5am hour, before sunrise. Somewhere, I've read and made a mental note that those that wake before sunrise fare better with sleep, etc.

Hope you can find the rest that you need.

I've been up for almost 24 hours. I take sleep meds but they didnt work. I am tired but I can't shut my mind off. I am going to try to eat and maybe try again. I don't know what else to try, maybe a hot bath will help.

Try getting some sunlight outside in the morning. Curfew your electronics two hours before bed. Keep the room pitch dark and quiet and I suggest a sleep mask and or ear plugs. Eat some carbs an hour before bed. Boil a banana with the peel for ten minutes and make this tea one hour before bed. (Cut the banana into three pieces first). With the peel on.
If you have to use a comp, wear special orange glasses to block suppression of melatonin. Use a flat pillow. Use memory foam mattress.

Use your bed for sleep and sex only. Avoid associating wakefulness with your bed.
