I go to bed and fall asleep ok. 3 hours later I wake up . . . and can NOT go back to sleep. Night after night after night. This has gone on for a week. It's driving me crazy.

After breakfast I'm able to fall asleep. My day is all messed up.

I want something to let me stay asleep more than 3 hours.

Anyone else have this problem of waking up in the middle of the night? Did you find a remedy for the problem?

I struggle with this too some nights.
On the top of my head melatonin, make sure your room is dark and blinds are completely shut so sun doesn't break through.

Ask your doctor before doing anything I suggest as some things can interact with each other. Chamomile tea during night time may help as well I'm not sure if it will help with staying asleep.

Then there's always sleep medications like ambien and others.
Thanks for this!

Thanks. I was wondering about Ambien. I already take melatonin, and herbal teas like camomile don't seem to help me.

For a while I'ld been doing pretty well with sleep. Maybe this will pass.

I started taking two 5 mg pills of Melatonin. Pretty helpful. I was on a long ruinous path of not sleeping for 24 hrs or more. Then when I could go to sleep I would start waking up at like 3 AM. I have nothing to do during the day, so it didn’t bother me that much. But then I was bothered after it persisted. I started taking the melatonin. And it was helpful.

Thank you, Brego. You definitely know what I'm talking about. And I know what you're talking about. I wish professionals in healthcare would better understand that sleep disorders this severe can make a satisfying life impossible.

I am taking melatonin 10 mg every evening. Here's what I just found to work the best: my provider prescribes Baclofen 3 times per day for back pain. It's a muscle relaxer. It wasn't helping my back. However, if I take 3 Baclofen tablets together in the eve, they work as a fairly decent sleeping pill. So that's what I'm doing. Of course, I'm not going to tell this to the prescriber.

I do find that getting out of the house and moving around definitely helps me feel more sleepy at night . . . and having some wine with supper.
