Hey guys

Thank you so much for all your support and great ideas during my last attempt.

I'm starting again tomorrow. I feel like the longer I smoke the harder it's going to be to be motivated enough to try again.

I've got the straws and chewy, the music and found some good guided meditations on You Tube for when my emotional pain overwhelms me.

How are you all doing?

Hi PTSD101, I'm glad to hear you are trying again tomorrow. I know it gets harder the longer you smoke. How many years for you? give or take 30 for me. I can quit easily when I'm sick or when I was pregnant, its easier when you have to think of reasons for someone else's sake..... but my stress is preventing me from wanting to try to quit right now. New years resolutions never stick...
I have to taper down again first, that's what works best for me. I know we will feel so much better when we get through this, I have to make up my mind soon to set a date.
Take good care, and sending you good thoughts that I hope you will get through this time!

Thanks for this!

How is it going? I'm just here for support, not checking up on you. Today is New Year's Eve so if you can't get through the night, that is completely understandable. Just don't give up the desire to quit and you will get there. I'm behind you. I know how hard it is. I've been trying back and forth for years. It has finally just become possible. You are doing the right things. Just hang in there.

I wish you the best.
I quit 71 times before I achieved success. Now I'm nearly 3 months quit, and I reached that state (which I thought was a fallacy lol) when you don't think about smoking at all... Just like "Ewww they are smoking here this is nasty and annoying." And man, it feels good!
They say it takes 3 attempts to quit smoking for good... How many attempts does it take go get 20 people to quit smoking for good? LOL, 71.

EDIT: Not sure that was Tom.
