Yesterday, I finished "the easy was to stop smoking". It worked when I read it for the first time about 4 years ago. I stopped smoking until last nov. I've been trying to stop since the. Read the book again. But this time I didn't quit for long. Only lasted through the night. I had it this morning and I cried!!!!! I'm wanting to smoke again!!!!!!!
I really want to stop!!!!!
I'm so disappointed with myself!!!

I was really hating myself, but somehow, writing here made me feel better. Though I had another cig, but now, I feel that I can quit. I'm going to keep trying until it does happen. I'm not giving up!

I just got over a major depression. I've been feeling better for about a week now so I wanted to tackle my smoking problem. I thought I was strong enough. I think stop smoking cause me to feel that depression feeling. I didn't want that feeling back again. It was very painful. I think I have to learn how to deal with that feeling of pain.

Really starting to feel depression from trying so hard to stop smoking then then smoking. Smoking is inside of me. I feel it stuck inside and I still want to smoke some more. I hate this! Feel so lonely. Feel so awful.

Was going through a lot of emotions this morning. Felt really emotional then had cig and felt better. I know it's a lie that cig makes you feel calm, but it does makes me calm. Was I going through withdrawal when I had cig few minutes ago? And then had extreme depressive moment? I hate this! I didn't smoke when my siblings kicked me out of the house. I didn't smoke when they were mistreating me! I did stop smoking before. Why was it easier then? And so hard now?

Trying to stop smoking can send you on an emotional rollercoaster ride. You're trying to remove your "best friend" that you've had since you first smoked.

Know this...when you remove your good friend withdrawal takes place. When you pick that cigarette back up and take a hit, your body gives you a hit of dopamine and your body calms down. That is the chemistry of nicotine in the human brain.

I'm 16 years away from my last cigarette. It's not an easy thing to do but you can!

Thanks. I'm doing it again...being a non-smoker. Been one day. I really want to happen this time. Yes, it does feel like a good friend that I want to spend time with but I know it's bad for me. Doing it this time.
