upper right hand corner of headings..it says photos.....click on that and you'll be there. do you have a scanner? anything that will fit on a scanner can be sent. of if you have your work in files on your computer, you can send those. set up your "gallery" and click load photos..then a small window will come up saying "browse" and you click on that and your files should come up........i'm be back on this p.m. xoxo pat

a friend is going to make me a loom that will stand upright, then i can bead without it hurting my neck. he beads. he just sold a set, a fan, a pouch and a small belt for $22,000.00. if you bead, this will mean something. he uses 20s for his beads.......i bead with 12s. higher the number, the smaller the bead. i have so many strands that i bought in Santa Fe and now i'll get to use them!! wooooooooohooooooooo

Pat, I'm not going to scroll back and try to find it, but didn't you say somewhere that you wanted to learn to knit?

I taught myself over 20 years ago using the Readers Digest Complete Guide to Needlework. It has excellent illustrations that make it really easy to figure out what to do. I only wish I could master the European technique because it eliminates about half of the hand motions.

Has your loom arrived yet? I bet it will be awesome!

I started knitting again last year. I have several unfinished projects, unfortunately. I have a problem with losing interest after awhile. It took me four years (!!!) to finish some mosaic tile stepping stones!! And the funny thing is, the last thing I had to do, grout them, was the best part! Grout is awesome. I loved mushing it in between the tiles. Hee hee. Very regressive but fun. And I'm so proud of those stones, even if they are slippery when wet! D'oh!

One of the groups of classes I took when I was getting my associates degree was called "therapeutic media". This was a series of three classes when we learned all kinds of stuff: woodworking, pottery, leather, weaving, and lots of other crafts. This class period was always my favorite, as it was so therapeutic just to be making things with our hands and expressing ourselves. I miss that!

Great thread, Pat.

the loom has'nt arrived yet. i talked to the maker yesterday....i find that if i can do "hand skills", it relaxes me. and like you, i love grout!!!!

my self=esteem really is tied to my creative self. people "create" more than they think they do. posters said they couldn't think of anything, but everyone creates. every person does something.

thanks, GG.......pat
