I called the doctors office for the third day in a row and ...nicely got results! (and no, I'm not being sarcastic) Got a massage. Went shopping and bought a dress to wear tomorrow night....after my show opens! Finally! Final dress rehearsal tonight went well :-)

^ Yay! Good luck for tomorrow night! ((((((kitty))))

Wow! Everyone is achieving so many things!!! It's great!!!!!! Thanks for sharing!!

I managed to stop myself (just!!) from binging on sugar to ramp up my energy levels this afternoon. I was tired and couldn't focus properly at work and I really wanted to keep on snacking on sugary stuff, even though I'd already had some chocolate. I managed to distract myself while the urges were at their strongest, and after about 20 minutes, the urges went away and I was able to get on with some work

Well done sundog! I have a huge sugar craving...complicated by it being one of two tastes I can find in my mouth. The more I stay away from it, the less I crave it though. Boring.

What did I do right today?
I woke up and plan to go back to bed.
I did email a friend to notify her of her addy being hijacked - stolen...got one of those horrible notes of how she was traveling in Europe and was mugged... you know the scam.

Today I got up and got dressed right away, that usually helps me focus on the new day. But it's still early to have done much of anything.

My to do right list for today:

1. Make new recipe for either a carmalized pear bread pudding or
one for apple pie made with pyllo dough instead of pie crust.

I just remembered, the granny smith apples didn't look so good when I did the grocery shopping last night, so it is the carmalized pear stuff. It is a healthy recipe and sounds soooo good.

2. Finish making my menu plans and figuring out if I have all I need through next week. Have left overs for lunch. yummy white bean chicken chili.

3. clean up kitchen and vacuum the floors.
Thanks for this!

heck, I didn't get my floors vacuumed, but the pear bread pudding was great. I modified it to save a few calories by leaving out the honey, using egg beaters, skim milk and Splenda! Next time I'll add more cinnamon!

My to do list for tomorrrow maybe will include vacuuming

Great news donut! I still haven't done my vacuuming....

The floors will be here tomorrow too. I did a lot of walking at the mall - twice around inside is 45 minutes and a lot of just plain old fashioned window shopping/walking today. Trying to keep walking off my calories

Had lunch out with my DH

I'm pooped! Time for a big glass of water and back to my book and TV watching.

Well done everyone!!! I'm soooo hungry after reading about Beholden's yummy culinary exploits!!!!!!!

Today I stepped outside my comfort zone and did something I usually avoid doing because my confidence is low. It had to do with a work event and it went fine. I did have some anxiety, but not too bad. I know it's good for me to do these things and I'm glad I did it!

DH and I went to an animal shelter and I think we have us a new "used" doggie! He is a 6, almost 7 year old Aussie mix. He is a big old boy that I think will work really great for us. We have him on hold until tomorrow so we can talk about him.

He gives really wet 'big' kisses. After having a smaller dog, with a smaller tongue, his sloppy kisses were a bit of a surprise!

He has really soft paw pads. And had to be groomed/ shaved a little more than what would be normal, due to a bad case of fleas, so his tail was looking a little funny!

Yay for fur kids being supportive :-) I went and did my show today. And I made the phone call to my ex bf I've been dreading for weeks. It went pretty well until the "I'll call you back" almost an hour ago.

I just got off the phone with my DH and we are picking up "Jack" tonight. I'm not ready, I have art stuff all over in the studio.....oh no! I'll go to it in a minute to get stuff off the floor.

My did right today was to walk 3 miles to McDonald's for my ice cream cone. They are reduced fat ice cream; only 3.5 grams of fat and 150 calories. I love that special treat. Now I have to make a dessert for my DH for his work. Tomorrow they are having a pot luck turkey dinner.

I'm making one of our favorites, Strawberry Pretzel Jello Salad. It has a baked pretzel crust, then strawberry jello with real strawberries mixed in and after that sets up, a mix of Cool Whip and Cream Cheese on the top. YUMMERSSSSS. Only I won't be able to have any

I went and got a pedicure with my mom. Dealt with some banking issues. Made a appointments for a massage and a visit to the chiropractor. I got to say yes when a friend asked me to go out tonight because I don't have rehearsals (Yay! our show opened!). We're going to a burlesque show... should be interesting.

We didn't pick Jack up Monday evening as he hadn't had his vacines yet. They said they would give them to him Monday. But they had to wait a certain amount of time between boosters, so to save the extra expense, DH and I just had a nice visit with the doggie.

Tuesday my best friend who loves dogs came with me and we got him. He is just so good. He loved the car ride HOME! He loves his new house and area. He went with me when I took my friend back to her house and he met her dogs. He loves other dogs and people. He stayed off the couch when we told him NO. Usually we would use the commands, Off rather than no or down. But some how saying Jack, Off! --- well you get the picture He has already bonded with me and I thin he really wants to please us for adopting him. He likes it here. He is a really good match for us. Not too full of energry and likes to sleep a lot!

DH took him for a long walk after dark last night. He is house broken, didn't even 'mark' his territory any place in the house. Not even in spots where I know our previous dog had an accident. I asked at the shelter when he is used to being taken out and they had a set time so I'm trying to follow that schedule. Just like clock work, he did his business!

My did right for today was taking Jack for a walk so he could poo. Even his poo is cute.

He isn't eatting real well yet, even though we are giving him what is was getting at the shelter but likes his treats and the softer food that I had on hand.
Thanks for this!

((Sundog)) yay for working your tail off.

for anyone who was wondering: apparently I'm too smart to enjoy a burlesque show.

Good work all you do righters!

I cooked a "fabulous" Thanksgiving feast today. Turkey breast, 2 yukon spuds, 1 yam with maple syurp and butter, green bean casserole, freshly made cranberries, stuffing, gravy, and crustless pumpkin pie with whipped cream. I haven't eatten such a wonderful meal in so long (that I have prepared anyway).

Still to come is the apple pie I made with phyllo dough instead of real pie crust, and I added cinnamon red hots to the filling when I was adding the sugar. That will taste so good in just a few minutes.

And.....drum roll - I cleaned the turkey carcass, put it in my soup pot, added water, carrots, onions, celery and fresh rosemary, thyme, and sage. It is still simmering. I'll strain it, and then cool it down in the fridge overnight and skim off the fat. I'll have my own turkey veggie stock. Think I'll put the veggies through the blender and add it to the liquid with more fresh veggies of some kind. Can't get too many veggies you know.

I'm very proud of my cooking today. It was all just too good. And my kitchen it cleaned up.

P.S. DH loved it also. And Jack got a very little bit of the gravy. After I poured the Fat Free gravy (the kind from a jar) into the real turkey gravy that I made, I put his dog food into the gravy pan and stirred it all around to pick up all that flavor and then added 2 small scoops of gravy into his bowl. He ate most of his food right up. Happy Dog.

I went to someones house for thanksgiving. Shes a vegan so the only bird that was there was a blue parakeet that the other guest brought to bury. somehow I ended up holding the dead bird before it was buried. Not sure how that happened.

I cannot eat most foods because of a physical condition. So I could not eat her food. The good news is that because my friend knew I did not want to drive home on winding country roads in the dark, I got to leave after an hour and 20 minutes !! But at least no one can say I didnt force myself to go someplace for thanksgiving. So that was something I did right !!!
Thanks for this!
