Thought about doing the dishes, but that thought died of lonliness. Went to church. Took a shower.

Tried to spend quality time with by boyfriend. His quality of life goes down as medical problems progress. He seems to get not a great deal from our time together. His condition gets weeky more feeble, and I want to think of what we can do together that he will enjoy. At one time, he was so athletic, and now hard to get from one room to another. He never gives in to dejection.

Swam. Took my measurements. Hmm. My gross(!) circumference is still about the same, well, down about the expected inches per the weight loss, but I think i've maybe lost fat in the nooks and crannies, as I am more flexible, can breathe easier, and clothes fit better.

cleaned up promptly in the kitchen. Tried to get bf to eat something nourishing, not too successfully. I went through more stacks of paperwork to file things. Started really going through my desk to organize it. Submitted another job application on line, Spent time with my neighbor who needed to talk to someone. Cleaned the bird bath. Swept up outside. Cleaned the bathroom. Watched lots of hummingbirds coming to the nectar feeder outside my kitchen window. That is one of the real joys of my life. And, very importantly, became a bit more computer proficient.
Thanks for this!

Lately I've become this new kind of person who jumps out of bed the minute she wakes up, and you couldn't pay me to roll over and go back for a few more winks. I think that's a great way to be . . . I've always admired people who were like that . . . and now that's how I greet the day, which I think is spectacular. The problem is that I only had 4 and 1/2 hours sleep last night, and I've been feeling weak all day.

At one time, I would have gone back to bed and slept more. Now,I avoid that like the plague. I feel compelled to keep moving. This is a recent change and it has nothing to do with will-power.

I'm glad I wake up wanting to get up. But I have got to get more sleep. Today, I felt faint at the store. I hadn't slept enough, nor eaten enough. My weight is gradually falling, which is very nice. I find I just don't want food very much. But, I felt weak today. Now I will disengage and probably catch up on sleep tonight. I hope.

I went to my addictions aftercare group and told the group the story of my last relapse and the decision to go back into treatment, and it really helped a woman.

I submitted the course outline & assignments for the course I'm teaching in the fall.

Not too much, pretty disappointing. Took in my neighbor's trash container, as a courtesy, when I took in my own. Did some filing, but didn't stick with it. The morning held such promise . . .

I attempted to give blood but my iron wasn't high enough so I was not feeling all that great until I got home and am currently helping a little bird with a hurt wing.

I rode my bicycle, my new bike that I never even used . . . I rode it a few blocks around my house at 8 AM. That was really pleasant. I cleaned my house. I trimmed the rose bushes outside my apartment. I put out more nectar for the hummingbirds. I discoursed with a neighbor who was in need of company. I cooked a decent breakfast. I kept my mind free of miserable thinking.
Thanks for this!

Swam. First time someone else was in the pool with me during a rainstorm, a youngish Balkan? gentleman. It was very elemental, if that's the correct word. The green smells came up, the raindrops were cold and came down pretty hard; then the sun came back out and the cement deck around the pool began to steam. It was so beautiful. And I finally was a real hostess to my friends, I had snacks and drinks. I gave credit to PC, my guy friend wanted to know if I got a nickel every time I mentioned you guys!
Thanks for this!

Did some more laundry, have about 3 more loads to do. Started cleaning out my clothes. Went to a festival with some family. Listened to a friend vent about life.
