Good stress management. Took care of myself. Even when I found I could not contact my therapist's office, because it was Saturday, and furthermore it's Labor Day weekend and I can't get therapy until the appointment I already had on Tuesday, I didn't freak out. Called the crisis management line, talked it over, and decided on a plan of action. Left the house and rode around with my husband for a while (he's a bus driver for our city.) It didn't exactly offer the *complete* peace and quiet I needed, since it seemed every screaming kid in town rode HIS bus that day, besides one obnoxious drunk, but it was better than being alone with possibly escalating thoughts.

I love swimming. It's the only thing athletic that I am physically able to do, because I have a disability. I wish I had more opportunity to swim.

Its early still today, so I'll go with yesterday: I cleaned the kitchen, made a nice meal, and had a friend over for dinner. Knowing that my friend was coming over gave me the motivation to clean the kitchen, something that I'd been putting off for a while.

I have my S.O. visiting for today and tonight. I am trying to be considerate of him, as he has serious health issues and complains a lot less than I do. I like to think I give him companionship and that he is happier than he would be without me, but I wonder a bit, though I know I am important to his sense of well-being.

Today, I found out I lost a couple of pounds, which is ok. I tested out my cameras recording abilities for sound, and decided im gonna record me singing sometime.. I sorted out my pencil case for college tomorrow.
I cried, cried alot but I guess thats a good thing because I havent cried in so long, and I think I needed to cry over my current situation..
I remembered all the words to a poem I wrote long time ago, its my friends favorite. And I admited that im scared of losing my friends now ive changed from school to this college.
the day dont seem so bad now really, looking at the good I did..

I hooked a printer up to my computer. Quite a victory, seeing as I bought this printer 4 years ago. Tried once back then, failed, got discouraged, let printer sit as dust collector. I guess there is a moral lesson in there somewhere.

I ate well today. I also decided that the pain and loneliness were too much to bear, so I contacted the rescue about taking two of the dogs they have in most need of homes. I can give them a good loving home so they don't have to feel alone.
Thanks for this!

Saw my therapist this morning. Re-arranged some appointments so I could rest this afternoon (I've been sick the last couple of days.) Went to my first grad school class of the semester tonight.

I wrote a new post for my recovery blog. I also went back and edited and spell checked all my old posts, and typed in a whole list of books that had helped me. So I gave the ok to CAMH to post a link to it from their facebook feed.

Successfully finished a large section of a piano arrangement I've been wanting to learn for a while.

I got out of bed. Went to a job interview, which actually went pretty well. I will hopefully go for a walk later on.

I had a great first full day with my new students and when I went to the grocery store after school, I took my dog along in the car so she could ride with me!
Thanks for this!
