Hateful Words -

What does one do when another just seems to have it in for the entire world (and you included) and they use mean fowl language and talk to bring you down with them? - for if they are not happy then no one will be.

Half this battle is you knowing the person does this. So it would be easyer for you not to believe what is stated.

Oh dear, do I know this one!

Even if you are a positive person yourself and you do try, it's sometime really hard to be around a person who is constantly negative and never happy, never see the positive in nothing. This person will bring you down because you get tired and the harmony of life is never present.

for if they are not happy then no one will be.

I understand what you are saying so very clearly. I wish you were not in this negative envionment because it's really not a good one.

I have been through this... yet I am stumped with offering some advice.

I know that it hurts. I understand that.

Was married to one for way to long...an emotional vampire that sucks any good feelings right out of you by just yelling and being mean, and hurtful..words can do as much harm as physical blows to the psyche...take care of your emotional needs..if you can leave the room, turn up the music, shut and lock the door..go for a drive..take a walk..my personal favorite..make a voodoo doll...budget for some well deserved stick pins and poke..poke..poke..dosen't do much to the other person...but it made me feel better, as long as I remembered to hide the darn thing..(((Rhap)))..take care..gentle hugs...

Thanks.................... but sadly enough it is not even by a person that I really know or that really knows me.... they have made many wrong assumptions about me and then they let their mouth do the nasty fowl talking.

Oh my..that does not sound fair at all...communication is so important and if there is a misunderstanding..which results in such hatefull language directed at you..how can you approach someone that inflicts such pain without risk of being further injured..I hope that you take care of your own needs..and that you can overcome some obviously misdirected anger, sometimes though, if its due to a misunderstanding..clarifying your comments or just expressing your hurt at what they have said in response may make you feel better and if they are not gracious enough to understand that stance and apologize..then let it be..knowing that you have done your best to be true to yourself..supportive thoughts coming your way Rhapsody....gentle hugs..p.s. U know my wicked sense of humor ..there are times though when the taste of my foot lingers in my mouth for just a little while..smile..take care Dear Rhapsody...

Jeez, I think the only way is to be honest and tell them that's how they make people feel, and if that don't work avoid them and tell them why you prefer to not be around them. Maybe that will give then enough incentive to stop.

Thanks..... and funny you would say this to me today, for I just did the exact thing yesterday..... and well the person did not seem to act as though they cared or that it bothered them that I was offended..... so, their loss not mine.

....................................... I am moving on.

I personally am not one to attack another person simply became I do not agree with them or with what they feel.... and yet this selfish practice is done all around this world and every day - No Wonder Self Esteem is at a Low.

I am truly grateful to "All My Dear Friends" here on PC that lift me up when others have knocked me down...

For with in the short time I have been here (6 months) many of you have helped me to see the good with in people again and to realize that I am worth being alive - that love and happiness can be mine.

People who have to resort to foul language are often immature in their perceptions also. It's time to pass them by... you aren't asking them for lifelong advice.

Excellent observation. I tend to view statements laden with obscenities as uncreative and much less meaningful than if the person took the time to actually choose their words with thought and express them articulately. That goes triple for when the message is just obscenties and no real content.

That being said, I must admit that I have a potty mouth at times such as when I stub my toe or do something similarly stupid.
